Help..problem with htc tytn

hey i have black 2.5 installed on my htc tytn..however..whenever there is an incoming call..i cant see the caller i.d...only when i press answer then i see who the caller is..anyone have this problem or n e recommendations? shud i switch to a differnt wm6 rom? and if i do switch roms would i have to reinstall all of my apps? any response would be great..thx:cool:

Hi, this has been reported a number of times with different rom's.
A search on the forums will show a fix, i believe I have read a number of times it is an issue with an SPB program & something to do with the today screen.
Although I do not run any spb programs, (and you do not say if you have)so have not kept the link.
Hope this helps, the best advice I can give at the time is to have a search through the rom threads.

And as for the second part of your question/statement, try whichever rom you like, but yes you will have to re-install & I would heavily advise you to read, the relevant threads for the roms or on the first page Windows Mobile 6 Links (about 3rd sticky down) & then MR VANX HERMES UPGRADE GUIDE , an excellent walk through of installing any rom etc.

yea i do have a couple spb programs running..spb weather and spb phone suite...but ur feedback is much appreciated..i shall search for the fix right now..thanx alot again..take it easy

edit: found the solution after an extensive search..simply had to wait 30 seconds or so before pressing yes to a soft reset after installation...for those out there who may have been having the same problem..thx again for the feedback and help
