Does anyone have an easy way to organise contacts?

I just installed WM6 and added the contacts from my SIM to the phone but it has added them all over the shop- eg. instead of having one contact for "John" with 3 phone numbers in that contact i end up with 3 contacts (one for home number, one for mobile and one for work).

I tried to use a program called Pocket PC Contacts Synchronizer so i could reorganise them on the desktop but i cant figure out how to use it..... bloody thing......

How does everyone else do it?

i think you'll just have to bite the bullet and cut and paste them into 1 phone memory contact. i stopped using sim memory for contacts years ago. if you have them all in your phone/pda memory, they are readily available to be backed up in dozens of programs. right now my phone syncs with outlook, if i get a new phone(i am next week) outlook will just sync all my contacts onto the new phone.

the problem is that sim cards are only able to store one number per name.

i may be wrong, check out ppcwarez they have a section on contacts software - there may be an app that can merge numbers with the same name into one entry on your phone.

good luck

I couldn't live w/o Pocket Mirror - $$$ but if you have Many outlook contacts organized into subfolders, this is great.

Inesoft Address Book is the best in my opinion. Used a lot of contacts organizers, but this one is very useful and configurable. Easy contact search, nice design, contacts pictures, caller ID and, and, and....check it on http://www.inesoft.com/eng/index.php?in=addressbook.htm.

Does it sync all that info with Outlook? I'm an Outlook junkie with 700 contacts - much of it is work related.

Yes, without any problems...I'm using it all the time, editing (even the pictures) my contacts in outlook and then, after next sync (auto sync, no no need to reconnect your phone), you've got them in your address book. Nice and easy. Same with sync contacts from phone to outlook.
