I have a comment. I wish people would post everything related to Black3.5 in one thread. Things were just starting to calm down after the release of 3.x, and and with 3.5 coming out im sure we can expect another flood of noob posts and flaming.

Sleuth's LVSW!
Why should Faria (LVSW) be better (same build, same kernel)?
Why should Black be better (older build (?), older kernel (?))?
Ok, the version numbers of LVSW are "fake",
My personal conclusion: there's no real difference between them...

Ignorance is bliss...
So a ferrari body on a celica chassis/drivetrain is still a Ferrari?

Elf, I must say the one thing I do like about your ROM is the TweakUI, pretty cool.
I've used LVSW up til now, but added the Elf for giggles (still LVSW at heart)

All of the ROMS are great - lot of hard work put into them - i think they each help advance the knowledge of the community - including the newbs - whom if we don't have some tolerance for we will all hdie alone ...

I really don't understand want you mean. I know what a Ferrari and a Celica are but can't see any connection to the ROMs we're talking about...
But then you are the chiefs and I am a noob (or a "tard" as Midget_1990 stated; well he's a moderator so he is allowed to say so).
To make my noob-point: the last few days I installed and measured the mayor new ROMS on my device with SPB benchmark. I did every test twice on a clean installed ROM. It's no science, I know, but a simple relative objective performance test.
The results: well as you can see overall the performance is the same...
So maybe one is a Ferrari, one is a Celica and one is a Lada. But as they all perform the same who cares???
I just choose my ROM based on the extra's and the best drivers and not based on the core ROM... (as they are almost(!) the same)

Nicely done pietrucci. I've personally never considered you a n00b or a 'tard. Please accept my apologies for my peers who don't treat contributing members with the respect they deserve. ;)
You are correct. Cores are essentially the same; there's a limited number of mods you can make to XIP since location is critical. Thus the similarity of your performance numbers. Its the imgfs addons that really differentiate the ROMs here.

I've actually been using elf 2.0 for a while now. It's been real good to me and my baby dopod. Best part is that I removed the stuff I didn't want from the ROM. Yay for customized removable apps! What I dont like about the ROM though is that you need to soft reset to apply changes on the today screen. Heck, even changing your background requires a soft reset.
I'll be changing my ROM soon and I'm taking a peek at Faria. I just hope the issues I had in Elf aren't present in Faria.
Oh and Elf has issues with downloading MMS from my carrier for some reason. It tries to download but times out.
