Hi,
I have problem after decompress Opie image on SD card (ext3 partition).
After kernel load, BA typing ,,Familiar login:'' I type: login: root, password: rootme, but kernel typing: login[1274]: root login on 'vc/0'
-sh: can't acces tty; job control turned off
Please I need help, thanks for reply. Excusive me for my bad english :-(
btw: Opie is ,,opie-1.2.2.tr.bz2'' version image.

This is exactly my problem whith Linux GPE image ,,Familiar login:''
I try to login whith login: root, password:, tinylogin, getty etc.. etc..
But nothing My BA always show -sh: can't acces tty; job control turned off:mad:
I see is caused to not boot mmc0 :confused: I make all correct from http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/BlueAngelHowtoInstallLinux
I want verry muck Linux in my BA
If anybody to help as??? Please

Yep, I had the same problem, I followed the instructions in:
http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/BlueAngelHowtoInstallLinux
to the "T" but once I log in nothing happens. Should I start GPE from the command line? Any ideas?

Well as it turns out, the problem is with the SD card. When I used a 2GB card it didn't work (I got the above problem). I tried a 1GB card and it did work.
So far linux is ok, but it needs some work. :)

Are you using the 2year old kernel and rootfs ?
