I've been trying to configure my XDA exec as a wireless modem so that i can use the internet connection on my PC, but for some reason my pc completely swiches off when they are connected.

it turns off without warning as if a fuse has blown, an then it doesn't start up again unless i reset my bios to 'fail safe' defaults...

my computer is running xp, but the same thing happened my laptop running vista and my friends laptop running xp. the laptops were completely dead and wouldn't turn on again unless the power cable and battery were removed and then re-inserted.

i'm too afriad to plug the xda back in even for syncing becuase this just keeps happening... :-S

has anyone else experienced this or know what may be the problem?

Many thanks in advance

Regards, Sunny Jacob

Hmm, sounds like something's shorting out the USB port. Have you tried using a different USB cable?
