Hi

I just got a new Trinity. I upgrade it to WM6.
Today i was on the road with IGo navigation software. After few minutes with software on, the case start to heat. When i tried to charge it i got the blinking red led which say not charging. In the end i got a shutdown bcs no battery at all. I power up again, and i put the pda near AC hole, and in few seconds i got steady red led and battery was charging. After i put it back in the socket in few mins again no charging. In manual its written that there is a charging protection when battery is getting hot.
Did anyone encounter this problem before? Maybe its a problem with IGO and WM6.. after i close the igo and let on standby charging was ok.

Yup, I encountered this problem too. At first I was a little scared, didn't know what the red blinking led was meaning... but then I realized the Trinity was very hot, so I did the same, put it near a AC hole (actually in the torpedo, which also has AC for cooling drinks :D ).
I was using iGo on WM5, not WM6, but I don't think this makes any difference.

I'm thinking it's either a car charger problem (most probably) or even car plug parameters (voltage/intensity). I'll check later if there's any intensity (mA) output specification on the charger.

I had this on my previous FS N560, but haven't seen it on the Trinity with WM6 and TTN or iGO 2006.

The GPS receiver can get hot, so may overheat the battery. Make sure it is mounted somewhere cool- not on the windscreen in Summer, as the sun's heat can really cause problems. I now use a low mounted powered Brodit holder which is fantastic!

Had this happen for the first time yesterday. Everything has been working fine for some time and no recent change to the ROM. Have changed the car charger for a Moto V3 charger, the chargers (both old and new) have light to show they are getting power. The first time it happened the phone started charging after about 5mins. then each time after that there is nothing more than a flash of the orange light for a second.

Everything works fine with an ac charger. Will check the output in the car next to make sure it is all ok.
