Here's my upgrade to the boring, flat battery status tray icons...
Bluetooth Off / WiFi Off:

Bluetooth On / WiFi On:

To Install:
1) Download attached ZIP file.
2) UnZip/Extract Files
3) Disable "TrayIcons" from the BatteryStatus menu
4) Copy all included .ICO files to /Windows/BatteryStatus/default
5) Overwrite originals
6) Enable "TrayIcons" from the BatteryStatus menu
***** If you are using a BatteryStatus theme/skin, then you will need to copy the
.ICO files to the folder named after your skin instead of the one named "default" *****

Bro, for the step 1 and 2 i can understand.
as for the steps 3 onwards... i am lost... :(
cos i am really a newbie in wm5 OS (as i just upgraded from symbian OS to a PDA)
but i am willing to learn... :o
Mind if you can kindly advise me step by step on how to do it?

Not a problem... I will go about a little easier way to do this.
***Following steps done on PDA***
3) Go to Start>Settings>Today
4) Click the "Items" tab at the bottom
5) UnCheck "BatteryStatus" and tap "Ok" at the top
6) Connect PDA to PC
***Following steps done on PC***
7) Click "Explore" button on ActiveSync panel (from PC)
8) Double-Click on "My Windows Mobile-Based Device"
9) Double-Click on "Windows"
10) Double-Click on "BatteryStatus"
11) Double-Click on "default" (unless using a different theme/skin)
11) Copy all .ICO files from the unzipped "BatteryStatusIcons" folder to /Windows/BatteryStatus/default
12) In "Confirm File Replace" pop-up, Click "Yes" or "Yes To All"
***Following steps done on PDA***
13) Go to Start>Settings>Today
14) Click the "Items" tab at the bottom
15) UnCheck "BatteryStatus" and tap "Ok" at the top
16) Return to Today screen
17) DONE!

The WiFi icons weren't in the zip file.

I see the icon extension files in the zip file.

I see the icon extension files in the zip file.
These are the files that are in the zip file:
bluetooth_off.ico
bluetooth_on.ico
devicelock.ico
display_off.ico
Files that are missing are:
WiFi_off.ico
WiFi_on.ico

Mine are called:
wlan_on
wlan_off
...but you're right, I forgot to include them in the original zip... so here they are!

These are nice. I didn't have a reason to upgrade to Battery Status 1.04 until you put out these icons...I see what i've been missing...Thanks!!
