I tried this piece of junk and got stuck at splash screen just like the last time I tried to load mobiz crap. Haha, joke is on me for not learning the first time.

Back to factory ROM until the official WM6 WWE release.

No battery drain problems!

Battery seems to last longer btw!

After 15 hours of use with several phone calls and a little gaming the battery level was 77%!

btw I did nothing to cid unlock the phone so it was propably unlocked anyway.

Is there some sort of secret to loading these Mobiz ROM's without screwing it up? I thought you just download, active sync and run the .exe

But every time I do that - it claims to be loading, then tells me to hard reset only to make it stick at splash screen - each and every time -

I just installed it on my CID unlocked XDA Orbit.
Installation is very easy... just download the ROM extract it, and run Upgrade_rom.bat from the extracted file.

Follow the instructions on the screen, wait till it says finish and it will ask you to hard reset your device again. And voila, WWE WM6 rom is there.

When I start the Upgrade_rom.bat the dos prompt says that it cannot install the update and I should press ctrl+C to abort....

I have just flashed my original HTC WWE rom on it and tried again to run the Upgrade_rom.bat ... same story... :(

Is yours CID unlocked?
If it was done by imei-check, try to unlock it again.
Hard reset your device again, and try to upgrade it again.
On my friends orbit I wasn't able to flash from the start too, so I unlocked it again, and did the flash without any problems for him!

I had the same problem - of course with CLIX PDAMOBIZ rom...
My XDA Orbit is CID Unlocked

I flashed it with WWE WM6 by BePe and flashing process was successfull

Now i had to repair by restoring original german ROM with WM6 on my XDA and after all i will have to flash it again with WWE WM6 BePe rom to upgrade to english ROM...

Its pretty stable until now.
Battery is acting normal too.
So far so good, but need to test it more, and install some software like GPS before I really can tell ;-)

maby its you computer thats the problem i have tryed on 2 computers and it wont work on my desktop computer with mcfee antivirus but on my laptop with avg antivirus it works fine! I am no computer expert but maby it´s there the porblem is to be found

do you have an antivirus or firewall on at your pc?
If so disable it during the upgrade.
sometimes the upgrade wont run with these antivirus on.

the powerdrain is much butter than on WM5 rom, usually after one day off use, at my WM5 it will drop down till 75%, no with this ROM after one day, still at 98% WOW...

TomTom is working fine, Destinator 7 also, but sometimes its slower on loading maps and recalculation than on WM5, so I stick to TomTom and wait for an update of Destinator 7.

Enjoy this ROM... it's a pretty stable ROM.
There are some things I don't like and miss. But overall, I like this ROM very much :-)

Try to get your device in Bootloader screen (press the record button and soft reset, you should see a screen with 4 or 5 differnet colours like a rainbow). Than get the WM5 rom off your carrier and connect your phone with the pc by the USB cable, and try to flash your phone with the WM5 rom

I'm not a techie myself either. But I read a lot of stuff here, and learn from the real tech wizards here on this board.
Watch and learn and try it myself ;-) That's what I'm doing.

I was scared too to flash mine Orbit to a WM6 rom. But before doing it, I did a lot off research here, and at a moment I just pull the plug and try, lucky for me, the flash went all well.

Give CoolGadget a break! Here we are all aiming at helping one another and nobody has malicious intentions of causing any trouble to fellow posters.... Sometimes things don't go the way you expected, but that's how it is and we all have to live with that.

I have it out for the mobiz people because before i knew a thing about flashing, a thread i read about them and partly by them assured me that the WM5.0 version of thier 'hackery' would load without issues. My phone spent 3 weeks at o2 Germany. Now luckily I can unbrick myself (and am not an expert - look at my posts) but when this ROM did the same thing the last one did I decided its crap. And when people came in after I posted that this made my phone stick at splash sceen several times - people still tried it and bricked.

I'll keep my opinions to myself from now on. Sometimes I forget that typing text in a massage board only delivers half the message when you cant hear the tone of voice or see the persons face.

Only phone related from here on out - sorry for the misunderstanding guys.

No problem mate, I feel really sorry this rom bricked your rom. Hopefully you'll find a rom that suits your needs, and you'll enjoy a good phone and a good rom. And please keep posting (also from bad things and mistakes) so we all can learn.

Simple!
I installed 4.5 activesync, I connected the phone in guest mode (very important...no sync myst be made!) and then it worked perfectly!
It took about 15 mins and while updating he phone was in wm5! No update message was displayed. After the process was finished, I made a reboot and everything was ready!

find the original rom and download it put the phone in bootloader (hold power and record butten and soft reset)and start the orignal upgrade!

After flashing following the steps in the Dos window the OS seems to have loaded just fine but not the Ext Rom i still get the error msg on the orbit saying that Tmo wallpaper .bmp does not exist or something like that( I had the t-mobile stock rom before).Have to soft reset and then use the Orbit.Is this normal or am i doing something wrong? The dos window shows the Ext Rom being installed.Any feedback would be appreciated.

PS: Using total commander i also saw that the T-Mobile Ext Rom is still there.

there is no ext rom with this version! the ext rom from your preveus rom stays when you flash with this one. i used the pdamobiz wm5 powermap edetion first and then the wm6 version too et the ext rom from wm5....and no memory msg!!
