Hi folks!

I'm going abroad soon :D and want to take my Orbit with me along with aerial photos of the towns I'll be staying in.

I've tried looking at the Tracky (http://www.trackthisout.com/) software, which has everything I need but it only seems to let me download in very small segmants (i.e. at maximum zoom) from Google Maps.

What I really need is a way of downloading/exporting a large section of aerial photos from Google maps or stitching the smaller sections togther?

Ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance...

SG

Do you have a BT GPS module??

Google maps will work from a gps fix dude.

Or are you more bothered about the roaming charges?

Mrvanx, the Orbit has built in GPS.

I got Mobile Google Maps to work on my device through wi-fi and it works quite well showing aerial photos. I then switched the wifi connection off and it still shows aerial photos of parts of the last city looked at.

What I neeed to know is where it stores the cache and how to move it to the Micro SD card.

Hopefully I will not have to use roaming!

Checked it and replied ;)

I don't want to use roaming, just store the aerial photos to memory and use with a GPS progam... besides some of the places I'll be visiting will have no telecummunication services!!

It seems to store it in the main memory but I don't know where. Neither do I know how to move it to the SD card and make GMaps know it's there!
