8525 with the AT&T V2.15 ROM
Alarms dont wake up the pda from its sleep (power off) mode when using a "Y" adapter for power plus audio.
Factory "Y" adapter
Power only plugged into adapter = Alarms OK
Audio only plugged into adapter (running on battery) = Alarm OK
Power AND Audio (headset, extermal speakers etc) plugged in at once, Alarms will never wake up and sound.
Brando "3in1" Power, Audio mini plug, Audio USB adapter.
If power is plugged in, alarms wont ever work.
I assume that the 3in1 permanently tells the pda that an external audio device is connected so that the mini plug will work.
I've tried many different alarm programs including the built in one, they all have the issue, so it must be the ROM.
The HTC "Y" audio driver says that the existing driver is up-to-date.
So, if theres no alarms when using an adapter to get sound and power at once, its not the adapters fault.
Its unknown if this occurs in other ROM's
Anyone have a registry setting/patch program/idea where to look?
I would really like to use the 8525 as an alarm clock with Mortplayer and my external speakers, just as I have done with all my other pocket pc's.
