Hello,

My friend just got a new Treo 750W, and needs to know how to record phone conversations. Both sides of the conversation need to be recorded. Is this possible with the standard set of software on the Treo? Or does another software package need to be installed -- and if so, do you have any recommendations? Providing the step-by-step method / process to record would also be appreciated. Thanks!

You can't really record conversations with WM5 of WM6. There are a few reasons for this, one is privacy, the other is because the hardware just isn't capable.

However you can record conversations. When you don't want to use 3rd party software you can use the built in voice memo program. Start a conversation and put the Treo into handsfree mode. This is actually the only way.

If you want more options check out VITO Audio Notes, this has a new feature in v1.3 that automatically does these operations for you.

What are the VITO Audio Notes? Also, where is the Voice Memo feature located?

My friend is brand new to this phone, so any help I can pass along would be so appreciated!

The latest beta version of resco audio recorder works. So do Vito Audio Note.

Try the manual ;) There is a standard Notes program on the Treo!
Select Menu >> View Recording Toolbar

Again this is the freeware solution :D
