I know many people having problem in flashing the unit into different language.
If we couldn't do it due to CID lock.
Why not just swap our phone directly.
I base in West London. If anyone want to swap my AMEO in English version with his/her Chinese version. Please let me know.
My device is brand new from T-mobile and bound to T-mobile network currently. Of course, you can unlock it later on.

Sorry - don't wish to appear rude but aren't you concerned that your Ameo is defective?

It sounds to me like the power button is faulty. I would exchange it with T-mobile - all you need is the box and to be able to show them the fault and they will swap it for you in any T-mobile store which has stock (which isn't many).
