My HTC Home plug-in will be released in the next ROM.

Dear @Schaps, I hope the HTC Home plug-in you plan release in the next ROM, have the option to disable this plugin also :o , because... I have already try this plugin but I like more the SPB Mobile Shell (i use in combination with PBreeze+Wisbar Advance beta3, SPB Weather) and I dont like the iLauncher.

I dont find the vibration on the comm mannager because I click on the icon and not on the button hardware more then 1 sec like you explain to me a few pages before :D Now I try and dont stop the vibration (I power-off and stop) and stay on the mode 'vibrate', whell... I remove from the Windows\Start because I can change from sound to vibrate quick by using the icon on the WBA.

Good work for you to release the next ROM and sorry my newbie questions before, until now in this version and many apps already installed the result is: GREAT :)

I upgrade also the radio to 1.43.00.00 and I'am very happy with the combination (your ROM+1.43.00.00).

I have never refreshed any other roms than the official releases. But this version really makes me change my mind. I am going to try it out.

Mais je travaille déjà sur le phonepad, et j'essaie de faire quelquechose qui complète bien mon thème mais qui puisse aussi avoir un bon rendu avec d'autres thèmes, car tout le monde n'est pas adorateur de mon thème violet !

That's the big problem... I don't know the hack to add car charging support, even if I didn't really look for it yet, I asked an nobody can give me an answer. But as soon as I know it, I will add car charging support to my ROM!

I'm a complete Noob in telephone-Tweaking ;)

I've read a lot at xda-devs and finally decided to patch my xda trion with help of this excellent How to:

I did everything step-by-step and the result is perfect, running schaps 3.30b and radio 1.41 and Hard SPL Oli2.10.

One thing, however didn't work out. I was not able to let the Rom Installer autodetect my bootloader, although it is definitely SPL 2.10.Olipro. I chose "Force SSPL" instead and it worked.

I encountered this problem for both ROMs, Schaps and the Radiorom.

Do you have any idea what went wrong?

Hmm, I must have a different version of HTC Home installed with your rom, as mine just displays the time (not a list of progs/groups at the top of the screen) and the three main icons (in gray, not colour). Is there a new version of home around ?

I took it from the HTC Touch ROM, I only changed the graphics.
This is the 1.0.527.701 version.

According to the files provided with the HTC Home plug-in, it seems that there is an integrated audio plug-in, does anyone have been able to display it ?

OK, but per example the Pocket Breeze dont work very whell inside SPB Mobile Shell, only work for me on the today.

@Schaps, I dont understand very whell what you want about the HTC Home but I post the version extracted from Shadow ROM by JJ and the today theme from this ROM.

About the problem with car-chargers... I have't any kind of problem like I say a few posts before (with a standard car-charger but with the correct voltage to the HTC, I buy before a charger from Motorolla and dont charge or... some times charge because the voltage is very low to HTC but the cable is the same type of plug). so... I think because I have your ROM installed WWE 3.30b and I have not problems... maybe your ROM is OK and the problem with charger from the other users... don't have the correct charger. :)

I have not any kind of problems with Office... You're right. I was using a car charger with USB connector from which I connected an USB to Mini USB Cable (The same I use with my PC to synchronize the TyTn).

Now I just try an original HTC car charger, and it works !!!
I will now use this charger and everything will be great.

I also use this great Rom in german. The only problem I found till now is the not working office mobile. Excel does not even start, Word brings up an error:
"Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten. Das Dokument konnte nicht geöffnet werden"
"An Error occured. The document could not be opened."

Since Excel does not even start with a document from SD- Card, Word does. So I guess there ist something wrong with the excel binary while there only seems to be a problem with the templates for new documents in Word.
Probably that helps finding the error.

Everything else works fine in the german Version.

I wanna thank Schaps for this great Rom. As soon as Office will work in this Version I'm gonna donate. Promised !

Something totally different I found out: It seems to be very hard to connect to a wireless lan that does not broadcast its SSID.
As soon as I made it visible, it connected immediately. After successfull connection I could connect to the same wlan ever again even after making it invisible again.

I already found out about that using WM5, so this is not a Schaps or WM6 related topic, just wanted to point this out for somebody probably searching for this issue...

If you belong the access point, just make it visible. There is no point to hide the SSID, hidding it is far less convienent than secure.

In the alarm settings dropdown of the "Clock" tool the sound files "Alarm1, Alarm3 and Alarm4" are not shown in the German version rom. "Alarm2 and Alarm5" are listet correctly!

I can see the missing files in Explorer (Windows directory) and they have the format ".wma". The correctly shown files have the format ".wav".

Could you please repair this?

.NET Compact Framework is already inclueded, and for MS Reader I think it's a waste of space and I don't think that many people use it.

This is not a bug, only those 2 sound files are available for alarm as the WMA files are not supported, this is the same on official WM6 ROMs.

brandnew batterie was 100 % full yesterday at 21:00h .
today morning 07:00h batterie is 0 %


wtf is this ?? batterie from alone down ? in some hours ? a lot if errors in this firmware i think :-)

Thanks to correct your language because I worked hard making this ROM and I'm the only one who made translated ROMs for you, so I really don't like that that you call this a "sh*t firmware"!
If you think that there are many errors so use another ROM, but let me tell you that my ROM is for now the most stable available here for Hermes, it has some minor issues (like any other ROM) but I'm able to fix those issues for the next releases.
If you read this this thread you will see that people here appreciate my work, and nobody reported any battery issue. I optimized battery life on those ROMs and my battery longs for more than 2 days with HSDPA connection always on. So it should be a configuration or hardware problem, or you had an app crashed on your phone.

This is for sure a problem in your settings, maybe your Wi-Fi connection is not the default connection or there is a conflict with other connections...

You seem to be the only one using this ROM with these issues, I have to agree with Schap's last 2 comments, he makes an excellent ROM and supports it well. If you were asking for help that is really the wrong way to put it, negative comments to a ROM chef aren't going to get you anywhere, if you don't like something then try something else.

Something must have went wrong during flashing.
I'm running the same version without any battery problems. Although PhotoContactsPro and Ilauncher are running in the background I can use my Tytn for at about 2 days (flightmode during the night, some hours phone calls each day, downloading emails twice a day).

there is a small cosmetical bug in the phone skin (German OS)! Please have a look at the screenshot. The phone symbol at the "Anrufen" button overlaps the border.

Maybe the button text should be "Anruf" instead so there would be enough space for the symbol.

I do not know how close your base is to JJ's one, but this may interest you.

Last time I tried your rom I was unable to get auto-carrier settings working. I selected "Switzerland" and "Orange" and nothing appened. Are those settings included, am I missing something? This is really not a bid deal for me because it I am used to set it up manually

I had also this problem of battery quickly emty. (Less than 24h). At the time I discovered it, I was still running WM5. When it started, the only think changed was the fact that I changed from provider. I have to mention that I live in a poorly covered area.After contacting the provider, we came to the explanation that the TYTN was permanently switching between 2G and 3G, killing the battery. This did not happen with my previous provider as there was no 3G coverage near my house. The advice of the provider was to force 2G only.

But I tried something else. With HTweakC, I activated HSPDA. The battery life was again OK.

By the way, I noticed the same problem of shorter live of Battery with the rom of Schap. I did the same (activate HSDPA). And again it seems to be OK. In fact I do not know why it improves the battery life as it seems that the rom of Schap has already HSDPA activated. Probably the activation through HTweakC changes another parameter.

I do not know if this helps... :)

That's not sure we are both using the same version of Windows Live, but if anyone get the mentioned issues I will update it.

For my auto-carrier settings tool, I used configs available with the HTC GPRS Configuration Wizard, it was reported that connection settings are not so good for some operators, so if you have better settings, please send me the configuration and I will add it to the next version of my tool.

Everything work nice, (except the Swedish Telia Auto carrier cfg.) i get SMS but not MMS to work. ( i take the carrier cfg from, I think it was from Faria Rom, with that i get the MMS to work).

I felt a little bored so I down loaded your rom and fashed my TyTN.
Boy, was I surprised! Your work is great! Of course there are a few bugs that I have discovered in a few hours, but the news of your upcomming new release is fantastic.
1. What I have found on the Vodacom (South African 3G network) is the previously mentioned speed problem when in HSDPA.
2. The WWE version cuts off the signal bars on the title bar. This can be corrected by adding in the time setting. But here is where a problem lies: You have swopped the date and time settings. To get the time, the date has to be selected. I am not sure if this is the same for the other regional settings but it is so for South Africa.
3. If you are interested I can also pm the Operator settings for South Africa.
4. Due to the lack of VC 1.6 I added Cyberon Speed dial 1.2. Also added are PimBackup as well as Dotfreds Task Manager.
5. As I like variety I have added LSVW's HTC_Default.Tsk form his latest ROM as well as the new black comms manager (too many buttons are confusing and IMHO not necessary - functionality is important to me.
Should you ever use a black theme, please darken the colour to improve the contrast in the sunlight.

So far I find your ROM very stable with good speed and great BT Stereo. The player options on the Today screen is a great touch.

Keep up the great work, and I agree with you - work on one Language ROM at a time to iorn out all the bugs - I hope it's the WWE version!

I've followed your tutorial for translating mui files. I have translated Menu and several points of Strings (till 2524) of MMSTransport.dll.0409.mui with Resource Tuner. Perso, j'étais connecté direct au PC. J'ai même essayé un autre port USB. Réinstallé Active Sync, Rebooté, le PC et le HTC plusieurs fois. Arrêter et redémarrer le service DHCP. Enfin tout. En désespoir de cause, j'ai fait un hard reset et tout est rentré dans l'ordre.
Ce qui est bizarre c'est que j'étais connecté et que je pouvais aller sur le HTC en explorateur... Mais aucune synchro possible.

You can't cross flash between devices. Your asking to cause yourself alot of trouble. Some cab files and OEM packages are able to go between devices, but ROM's are device specific. There are some that can port a Hermes Rom into say a Wizard Rom but very hard to do and you should have a knowledge base of this before attemping.

This was allready a problem with some WM5 devices. There is a little bug in Active Sync in conjunction with Serversync on PPC. There was also a little trick to stop these unwanted syncs:

(dont know if these are the correct english translations for your menus and settings as I have a German language rom)

- Open Active Sync on your PPC
- choose "Menu" / "Add Server Source..."
- under "Serveraddress" enter any fake IP address like 10.11.7.1
- tap "Next"
- now enter some fake login and domain values like "xxx" "yyy" "zzz"
- tap "Next"
- now disable all checkboxes (Contacts, Calender, Mail, Todo)
- click "Finish"
- again tap "Menu"
- tap "Options..."
- tap and hold on "Microsoft Exchange"
- choose "Delete"
- now your PPC shouldn't "ghost-sync" any longer

I have exactly the same config as you (Freebox + Netgear WPNT834), I have activated the SIP on free, rebooted the freebox, actived my account using your nice soft, but this does not work on my HTC Tytn. WHen I click the voip Icon under comm manager, it just stays with a red cross..

Pity because I am heading for Japon and would have loved to use my cell under voip (no GSM there :-)
