You could help folks answer your question by telling them what phone you have. Do you have an old Hermes phone with something other than WM5 or WM6?
Have you checked Hermes site to see if an upgrade is available for your phone?
Have you checked with your carrier to see if an upgrade is available?

no.. because i know microsoft has not created an upgrade for the hermes yet for windows mobile 6, so i was seeing wich one of the roms made by you guys is most like windows mobile 6 for my htc hermes. btw just so you know
my phone information is:

ROM Date: 09/21/06
Radio Versaion: 1.16.00.00
Protocol Version: 32.53.7018.01H

thats not the original rom that came on my phone though. thats a rom i used to unlock my cingular 8525 ( HTC HERMES )

IMHO.... The last think I want is the "official" version. The thousands of hours of work that go into these roms here are spent getting away from "official". These roms are better than "official". They have many optimizations and cater to power users. If you are looking for "official", you have come to the wrong place. I wouldn't be surprised if the people working on these roms daily get offended by this question. I think a better question would be, "What is your favorite rom". That question is something that gets asked and answered a lot. I like to change roms about once a month. Right now, I like the one I am using enough to wait 2 months to change. I just like to feel fresh and clean. But I don't like "official", and I don't think you will find anyone else on these forums who does.

I also believe that the "official ROM", once it comes out may very well be inferior to what we have so far. HTC has completed the "Official" build for Hermes and its likely that we will first see (some of) its core components in JJ's Black Shadow update.

A quick look at the Kaiser thread shows the build information for its "production release". This makes it pretty clear that the core CE build that we've been working with is the current production core for Hermes. However, lvsw's last WWE release (my variant is based on this) also contains Universal imgfs components and as such may well represent something m$ cannot do: cross platform development.

trust me i would much rather have one of your guys roms than an official one.. its just that im selling my phone and im just looking for the latest and greatest to put on it that i can sell it for and i dont want anything too far away from the original software, just upgraded.. know what i mean?

If you're thinking of selling your phone by using the fact that it has WM6 on it as a major selling point... don't.
