Everytime after I run the Windows Live Messenger, my machine never stop auto-connect. I stop it manually, then it try to re-connect...... until I soft reset =.="

Did you try stopping it with WML closed?

1) sign out the WLM
2) close the WLM
3) comm. manager -> stop data connection

.
then it starts to re-connect =.="

This is one of the first things I figured out.
Go into settings, then connections, and create a 'fake' connection which will have empty parameters.
When you don't want to use your GPRS/3G/HSDPA connection at all, set your internet connection to point to the 'fake' connection. Anything that tries to use a 3G connection, such as messenger, will try to connect and fail only once, and never bother you after that. When you need your regular connection, just go into settings -> connections, and switch your profile to your operators connection.

As the author states, it's very handy for when you're abroad, but I tend to use it when watching video to stop the connection bubble interfereing with my viewing.

happens to me when using wifi n start wlm. wants to use 3g/hsdpa as default.
i just turn phone off until i start the app, then enjoyh quiet of no phone for a while :) if u miss ur phone turn it back on afterwards. it will use the wifi after that once connected.

I have the exact smae problem.. do later versions of messenger live resolve it? I haven't tried yet.
