READ... Check the WIKI .. all the information you need is there.. READ, read and READ some more... if you don't read and learn all you can about upgrading your phone you WILL destroy the device.

Everything you need to know -- and all the files to do it -- are in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1070264&postcount=1). Read every word and go through each step -- without skipping ANYTHING -- and you will be unlocked and ready to flash a WM6 ROM. There are several of those you can choose from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=356).

your phone may be SIM unlocked but it also needs to be CID unlocked (to put non-cingular roms on phone). heed the advice of the other members on here cause if not, you will brick your phone.

yup, make sure it is CID unlocked.. there are tools to do it in these forums, or you can pay 40 dollars to www.imei-check.com and do it there.

Before you do anything I suggest figuring out if you have a G3 or a G4 as which type will determine how you can unlock your phone. If you attempt the G3 instructions on a G4 you will most likely brick your phone.
