The original Shadow.exe file available on the official site has been replaced by a Shadow.rar file (new version) so I have removed the Shadow.exe from my mirror too.

In other terms ... LATEST VERSION COME AND GET IT WHILE IT LASTS !!! :)

Well OK... as a chef hes a genius, as a person, with his attitude, he deserves NOTHING.

I'm sure MS would prefer us not to talk about their stuff, I'm sure the operators would prefer us not to talk about their stuff.

Hey all, does anyone know if this is the fixed version resolving the dll conflict and startup issues? I would go to the 4winmobile black forum but it's down at the moment... been down for an hour or so... I think they're upgrading their forum software...

I'm not in anyway affiliated with JJ, but I do respect his wishes since we are the ones sitting around waiting for him to finish this colossal task of cooking a ROM for us... at least we can say thanks and not attack him on top..... my 0.02...

I know http://wmblack.info/ may have the latest release but the http://wmblack.info/ website doesn't tell us if the release has the dll conflict and soft reset issues resolved (hang during shadow splash). just wondering if this release is OK. I'm sure there are plenty of users waiting for this release to stabilize before going through the install process and then discover my hermes just hangs at some splash screen and have to go through the cycle of doing soft and hard resets....

Downloaded from Wmblack.info about an hour ago.
Flashed the Rom and no problems.
Nice.
But have removed the HTC homeplugin. Preferred my own combination, but a nice try.

Re the ROM discussion on XDA - whilst I am a fan of JJ I do not see how trying to restrict discussion on here is practical or the logic in it. As long as everyone is aware that if you want to feedback to JJ and recieve support from JJ then you need to do it on the official website. People can chat about the ROM wherever they like, they may just be misinformed or not receive any help, but that is their choice.
I do not think that trying to block additional mirrors will be practical although as I have not had any problems with the main downoad page, so not sure why mirrors are needed.

Im pretty new to all this ROM business but I have found JJ's Black roms very good on my phone.

I have no idea how to even start cooking ROM's I have just about learnt to extract and repack a ROM but I have no idea where to go next. So I can appriciate that JJ is top notch at all this ROM cooking stuff (OK Shadow has a few probs for me until he fixes it but that development)

Seems on this Forum I see day in day out someone asking something and then the next post there is someone laying into them cause its way out of order and seems like some people are on a power trip with all this closing threads cause its asking in the wrong place.

At the end of the day were here for one reason ROM Cookuing and as JJ is in the same game as the equally good chefs still working this forum then the subject should be left to continue.

Belive it or not people who use this forum have not stopped using the Black Roms as a matter of protest so Black chat is relevent so please all stop the bitching and let me read the interesting articles on this site without the abuse of other memebers....

No, Not that I know of (!), No.

My problem is that he was a good chef, who delivered decent roms, and seems a reasonable person.

Then he threatened to quit 2/3 times and backtracked, throwing strops each time, and then he left to go elsewhere.

Which is fine.

But for him to ask, and even worse, for some mods to support him banning discussion of his ROMS, is completely out of order. Half the linked content in this forum we don't own the copyright too. Who the hell is he to say we can't link to/discuss his stuff.

My problem is simple: He has no intention of trying to help the community. And that, to me, is inexcusable.
