I'm missing it too, but there's no space in this 5.2.1413. I also removed GifPlayer, ZIP, RAR, HButton, IntelliPad, SIP Tool, Real Player, TrayApp and WM5NewMeny. I will made a version with Extended ROM for G3's with all of these.

this is faster than nbd 6.1, core 2.0, and xda mobile 6.0 with htc touch home plugin installed...imo

what it need is the htc touch comm manager...and tweaks...no delete cabs etc

There are a few apps included, but even when i install mobile shell and run it with htc plugin, audio plugin I have 29 Mb free program memory after soft reset.

Also HTC plugin works faster in this rom than in XM6.

So far I had 2 problem with this build, but only with installed apps. wm6-BB-smartdial isn't working with this rom, and when i install odyssey access client and turn on wifi, the only way to turn wifi off is soft reset. Does anyone know app like odyssey, which gives possibility to set any kind of security settings?

Is the shadow of the Wizrd. But better. My Hermes is having tissy fits with Shadow. Not one problem so far. It is not as fast as XM6 but evrything seems stable. if you could just bump up the speed. Maybe I will install the buzzing cab?? Great build NBD

i've been using the 2.19.11 UK and it;s working fine :) didn't have any issues with it at all :) no dropped calls or mesages whatsoever.

Edge is ROck solid .Internet surfing is very fast Orange Rullz :D

very nice indeed, i had to pull the plug as usual after 25 mins using shelltool. The only thing i can't sort out is the cab files getting deleted after install, i have changed my value from the default 2 to 0, even tried 1, but they still delete using this method below, and i reset after changing value.

Set it to 1 to delete or 0 to prevent deletion.

Also i have installed the mfrazzz 8 button comm manager to match the rest of this nice layout and it works fine, but the text is in cleartype mode even though the rest of the wizard is completly off ?

@corky: I don't know if this will help, but what I do to prevent cabs being deleted is to copy them to my mini-SD card with a card reader and set them to readonly (which you can't do using your Wizard to read the card). That way I can re-flash all the time and easily install my cabs from my !Deploy directory.

esmertec is better for java games, that's why I put it. you have to manually install midlet manager for opera mini, sorry. volume buttons are working fine for me.

Yes, im using it and will say it is very stable build of 5.2.1413, of the all rom i have used. The good part is no memory leakage but it can be better if you try.
I dont use A2DP nor wifi, MMS is working.

Unfortunately this ROM has the power-on bug too. My Wizard turns on at USB cable disconnect.

Faria's "OS 5.2.318 Build 15342.4.0.01" didn't have this issue. I hoped this would be the case with this ROM too. This makes me wondering what is causing the problem.

It's no big deal, only a little annoying.

- Smartdial? Mine does not seem to work, its not recognizing any numbers on my SIM.
- SIM Contacts. After flashing I have lost a bunch of my SIM contacts, most likely SIM card corruption. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I think I know, maybe is the Radio version, does anyone knows how to downgrade the radio version? I have been reading other post and I think this is the problem. The rom works great, if I fix this, is a keeper.

This ROM is awesome but unfortunately suffers from the issue that many other WM6 ROMs suffer.

It either doesn't reconnect to GPRS when a connection is lost or it does but ActiveSync thiks it did not reconnect and push email doesn't work.

answer 1=NBD 7.1 works on G4 wizard.
answer2=you can downgrade radio rom easily.
information for zoki=esmertec doesn't cause crashing with opera mini 3.1 at NBD 7.1 but internet download speed is much slower than NBD 5.7.

there's an error in touch version, I left autorun to run from extended rom, so htc_default theme wouldn't be set, you need to set it manually. also if you have something on extended rom it will be installed. best thing to do is to skip the customization after "complete" screen (soft reset). touch ext version is ok.

Excellent ROM overall. Impressed with the speed, especially compared to other roms with the HTC Touch stuf added which slowed them to a crawl.
Only problem I have found so far is WiFi doesn't seem to work, icon is on - did pick up the network, entered the key but that's it. No connection and no icon but Comm manager still displays it as active.

Can't get GPRS to work with the preset O2 settings, says it can find a modem at the dialled location? Checked settings and connection is set to GPRS - so don't know if it's the rom or O2 or otherwise.

Fanastic, much faster than when I had Touch stuff on Ingenitics ROM. Only problem is I can't get weather to work, it doesn't even attempt a GPRS connection, now. Any ideas?

Excellent ROM overall. Impressed with the speed, especially compared to other roms with the HTC Touch stuf added which slowed them to a crawl.


Well the touch ext version is still much slower than the crossbow release.
Somehow this needs to be addressed. I believe keeping the file count in the windows folder is the solution, it seems that's the main issue now.

Fixed the problem with the GPRS/EDGE internet connection. Downgraded radio from 2.69 to 2.19. Now the text messaging appears not to be working. Any ideas?

Zoki, you're great! Really hope you have it fixed in a jippy. And can you post screenshots of the keyboards you found, so we can see which one we wish to install?

I also did some folder redirection in the registry:
- My Documents --> \Storage Card\My Documents
- Internet: Cache
Cookies--> All to \Storage Card\Internet\Cookies, Cache, History
History
- Templates folder--> \Storage Card\My Documents\Templates
- Ringtone directory--> \Storage Card\My Documents\My Ringtones
- Picture from camera storage in \Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures
- Favorites--> \Storage Card\My Documents\My Favorites
- Also redirected all folders under the mms\folder key of hklm\software\arcsoft to their respective locations on the SD Card
- Email--> Email to \Storage Card\Inbox
Attachments to: \Storage Card\Inbox\Attachments
The one and only working trick for storing email on the SD Card is:

Store mail on SD Card:
1) In POutlook Mail, go to Menu, Options. Last Tab, Storage. Turn on the store attachments on storage card option. Reboot of device might be required.

2) Using Registry Editor go to:

HKLM\System\Inbox\Settings

Add the new Value:

"PropertyPath" value="\Storage Card\Mail" datatype="string"

You will see the "AttachPath" that it put there already when you enable attachments though POutlook. After this I redirected the AttachPath key to \Storage Card\Inbox\Attachments, so that email and attachments will arrive in one central location.

3) When restarting device, it might lock up and create a "Storage Card" folder on the device because the mail starts before the SD card. Your Storage Card will show up like "Storage Card1" or something.

If that is the case, just pull your SD card out, get it booted up, and rename the "Storage Card" folder to "Storage Card.bak"

Then, restart the device and put your Storage Card in before it reboots, it should then not create anymore folders.

Just leave the .bak folder there, it has nothing but some empty folders in it and doesn't waste space.

Mine works fine with this method putting mail and attachments on the storage card, many reboots, no problems now.

About the touch software, it's just WM software. If HTC was dirty enough to put all their stuff in the windows folder, it's their problem, and it's a bit sad, because the perf issue might also affect the HTC Touch (given afaik it's the same kind of hardware below)

The bottom line is that it can work fine (see the T2 release). So I don't see it as a stretch that it could work on other releases.

No need to bite people for that.

i wasn't asking how to add a custom city. i was asking how to change to a different city once you have set one. initially, when there is no city set, you just tap the screen and pick a city. now that i set the wrong city by accident, i can't find any options to change the city that its set to.

If you would have used the app, you would have seen the menu button, right bottom corner. I'm a curious man, if I see a menu button, or whatever button, I push it.

Thanks for the rom. I've flashed Touch_EXT on my G3. There is a few problem I encountered.

1) activating wm5torage hard freezes the device. This is without any usb cable connected. [RESOLVED] Do not activate wm5torage with TrueFFS.


2) I don't see any system tray at the bottom of today screen. From your screenshot you don't have it too. Then what is HTCtray for?


3) Keyboard does not have any skins. Plain vanilla. I can see your fix at page8. I think its a good idea to put the fixes on the first post. [RESOLVED] Sorry, My mistake. There is no custom keyboard included in this rom.

- Okay I've applied the fix you mentioned. HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd EnableIndicator DWORD with value 1. Softreset, Keyb still is the plain vanilla.


4) Eten SMS zoom looks horrible. The fonts are huge and bold. Floating window. Digusting.

thats all that I've tested for 10mins. I find it gets sluggish after awhile, just like any other rom wm5 or wm6. Overclocking with batterystatus certainly will help. Maybe you can include it on the next release and also voice command. Other then that, this rom looks set to be a winner. Thanks

You have to replace 2 XML files in your windows directory.
Adding new weather sources
1. Go to AccuWeather - World Weather - International Local Weather Forecasts and enter your city under "Find an International Location by Name" (the top box) and click Go.
2. Click on the city you want in the results
3. Copy the zipcode query string from the URL, e.g. Phoenix, Az is "NAM|US|AZ|PHOENIX" (don't copy the last pipe).
4. Drag those files out of the \windows folder onto your desktop and Open both HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml and _HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml with a XML editor like XML Notepad 2007 (free microsoft download)
5. Add your code...
<city name="Phoenix, US" locationcode="NAM|US|AZ|PHOENIX"/>
5. Save the file back to the \Windows directory on your PPC letting it overwrite the old files
6. Select your newly acquired city from the list!

There are lots of US cities that don't return a result in the international "city,country" search. Mine doesn't. I suppose if it ain't there, we get no weather... Not that my weather works anyway. It used to when I had this plugin on XDA 6 ROM, but now since I've had NBD 7.1 it won't even try to establish a GPRS connection. GPRS does work, I can surf just fine. Help please, I was debating reinstalling the Home plugin, but am worried I'll get that awful slowdown problem again.

PD: The SMS and GPRS problems I reported were not ROM problems, but user problem :rolleyes:. WiFi works after repeated trials, other than that the ROM is flawless.

i figured out why i couldn't change the city...i had saved the xml file in unicode instead of utf-8. apparently, when you do this, if you tap the city name, it can't read that file and doesn't do anything.

I think, Vanilla means, that there will be only main apps. You can always install Voice Command.
Zoki make's this rom using his own preferences :) He don't like/use VC, so it's not included. If You would like to make Your own rom and relese it, I can guarantee, there will be lot's of post's saying: please, put this, and this and this, and why there is no TomTom included? :D

I have similar prefereneces as Zoki, so i like his roms, because i don't have to mess up with software, and this means, that i have 90% chance to have stabile rom. :)

Having strange problems with touch_ext, i flash it using shelltool but i don't think the ext rom bit is going over as when my wizard first loads up i then get all the 02 customisation files installing, which should'nt be happening. Also a lot of the utils are missing like tcommander, winrar etc.

I've not had this happen with any other rom, but then this rom does have an os and ext rom.

Any ideas ?

I found this ROM is fast and smooth. Which integrate HTC Touch software. I flashed it with SPL/IPL 3.08, RADIO 2.69. No problem found so far. With this ROM, I do no have to install "BatteryStatus" for overclocking.

That 's the best part. The only obstacle I have will be "Wi-Fi" is still not working. But I can wait for the fixed version. I really appreciate that. Thank you!

Just got my XDA yesterday paid for CID to be unlocked and this firmware is by far the best I have tried, the weather thing on the main screen is fantastic and the whole theme is super, I have noticed 1 major bug already though, when using VOIP configured with the SIP tool, theyres no incoming audio what so ever, can hear audio at the other end just not at the XDA :( Hope this is fixed soon as Ill be a dedicated NBD user.

another thing, I was used to ROMs containing intent middlet manager and here it is another jvm thats seems less powerfull... why such a choice ? is it still possible to add IMM manually ?

I have only one not big but very annoying issue with NBD 7.0 and my favorite Spb Weather. When Spb Weather is installed it has BLACK legends instead of normally WHITE ones. After soft reset these legends are initially white, but after first attempt of weather synchronization they become black again. Previously I used WM6 by faria (17.01.07) and different official WM5 and have no this problem.
Everybody, have you any idea what is reason of this issue? and how I can fix it.

A2DP not working for me. The handsfree works through bluetooth, but stereo does not. The icon comes on, the sound does not come through the speaker nor through the earphones. Turn the stereo bluetooth off, then sound comes though speaker.

hi, i'm posting here because this is the rom i'm using.

i installed an iphone launcher thing i found (http://lifehacker.com/software/hack-attack/turn-your-windows-mobile-phone-into-an-iphone-269055.php).

it all works except the time while on the iphone launcher interface is consistently 4 hours ahead of the system time. the slide2unlock's time is perfect as is the regular today screen, and also all of my appointments are correct. when i go to the time settings on the phone, it's correct. i cannot (don't know how) to edit the time settings in the .ini file (though i can easily change the paths of the icons for apps i want).

i have a g3 from t-mobile. i'm using the "touch ext" which is very pretty, btw.

Just an FYI, i have no issues with Wifi. But I can tell you from experience that sometimes SPB products, primarily mobile shell or SPB pocket Plus have caused alot of wifi issues for me in the past, I did not install any SPB product on my G4 unlocked wizard and have no issues with wifi.

They arent thoughts, I played around with Xplore and othe Wm6 roms and have found that on some, it was an issue and some there were problems, I flashed roughly 100 times to confirm this. With this rom, I only have to hit Wifi once, sometimes twice for it to turn on, only difference was I didnt use any SPB products.

You can use it. Disable it, change your theme then re-enable it (HTC button 1.5 quick menu). It will follow whatever theme you want as long as you disable it when changing themes.

This ROM is both stable and fast. (I used faria and core2 before, and this ROM is much faster to load from soft reset, and more table than core2.)

However, A2DP does not work for me. The "Wireless Stereo" profile kept dropping back to "Hands free" profile.

They are all the same, for the 3 screens that appear. I wanted something simple and I loved the boot image that came with NBD 7.1, so I put all of them the same image. That way, we have always the same image during boot.

Maybe when 7.2 comes out, I'll make something diferent, like HTC at boot, then that logo...

my phone takes a while to pick up signal when i come out of the subway. why is that? i flashed prodigy before this rom so everything should be fine. i did the same for xda 6 and my signal was fine plus the icon for edge takes a while to appear

Zoki said he'll inform us about it this monday. If i'm not mistaken he's testing it himself already. This time he wants to be completely sure to provide us with a completely stable and 100% working rom. Maybe he'll test it somewhat longer before he releases it to us. And that's good.

Iam use BT CarKit Nokia CK-1W - if iam call, OK, but if iam end this call on handsfree button, another call ist not ringing on my Carkit, but only in my phone and handsfree NOT function ... but connection icon on my vario ist light on display ...

and next problem:

GPS on BT ... TT says: GPS not connect ... iam try pair device 10x. on, off, not function .... :-(

but if aim use another rom, CARKIT and GPS function normaly ...

Any idea ?

I know for headset, it's fixed in v7.2.
Try new v7.2 (yes, I update it, go to first page), and tell me if you have problems again with carkit.

Yes they are. Bluetooth is fixed, WiFi too (I hope). There's also new Streaming Player (black), Voice Dialer (also black) and latest MMS.

I've found another issue:

When I'm trying to move my attachments to the Storage Card, the menu says "Storage Card 0.00 MB" and if I flag the option "When available, use this stoage card to store attachment" and I press "OK" the device opens an error box that says "No unlocked storage card detected. Make sure an unlocked storage card is inserted and try again".

I've found an old post that says to remove this registry key:

Zoki - First off I want to say thanks for a great rom. Runs very smooth with the integrated Touch apps unlike most other roms.

But I have a question, how do you setup the MMS on v7.2? With this new SMS/MMS Inbox, I can't figure out how to add the cingular settings into the MMS.

It loaded up fine... If I let it do the customization it locks up... I only let it set for 4 minutes, but I assumed it was locked... soft reset did not help.

But a hard reset then a soft reset when it gives a 3 second warning got it up and running.

Any ideas?

Oh, also I saw a post about Cinular MMS settings... what's the scoop?
