how to flash any ROM to CID locked

Hi all
I was sick waiting for cid unlock for (t-mobile ameo – dutch),
So I used modified tools from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299154
to force writing Windows.nb ,just changed the bat file to write the new OS and it worked, my Athena now has English OS from RUU_Athena_HTC_WWE_1.25.405.2_1.38.00

Its NOT Cid unlocked, it uses some utilities by itsme to write directly to the NAND flash that the OS is stored in :)

Guys I'm all for progress and this going in the right direction, but it is NOT properly CID unlocked. Be very careful peeps before someone bricks their device!

This is why we have set up the Athena project, to avoid this and get some pro's to help us.

I hope everyone agrees that Midget_1990 should be on board as he is experienced with ROM cooking and the likes for the VGA 3G Universal and is the only xda developer who has showed an active interest in our forum.

it could be risky to force OS with this procedure as we all know that there is a problem with athena cutting connection, read this:-

if athena cuts and upgrade was not complete, u can reflash with original rom.

another thing, this upgrades only the OS, not radio, ipl spl...etc, AND IT WILL NOT MAKE ATHENA CID-UNLOCKED

You had to flash back to an early Radio, then you could remove CID lock (or the early radio didnt have a CID lock in it). Then you could flash a normal Athena Radio back into it. He was vague about it but promised to email me the full procedure. He never did.

I know from my Himalaya, and Universal that the Rom GODs here work hard in the background, and the last thing they want is constant nagging :p

However, I fully support the current fund for buying a device for somebody.
One question though, how do you decide who gets it?
I guess it should be given to one of the biggest Universal contributors as a sort of reward for all their previous work.
Im pretty sure Buzz got his Uni that way didnt he?

i just notice two major bugs...
1) all my messages cannot be read
2) when i tried to connect through wifi in my house..they did not accept my network key..saying wrong network key...

For me no issues, connects to my Home Wi Fi well, so far smooth going, I updated to HTC 1.25 from Dopod 1.24, though my Ext ROM remains at 1.24

use the volume hard key and reset it will ask you to do a hard reset (volume hard key down slideit) and also it will take u off the bootloader mode.

where you trying to upgrade when you got stuck on bootloader? what happend? how far through was the process?

if the OS partition is still intact then I can get it out of bootloader, but if thats gone/half upgraded then it will hang on splash screen and wont boot - fairly sure i can fix that too but never tried on an athena :)

I don't see the windows mobile logo.
To switch off i need to remove the battery.
So i try to upgrade my rom with a tmobile dutch rom :
i make a reset with a pression of the camera button.
When i am in the bootloader (green,red,blue..)
I execute the RUU_Athena_TMO_DE_1.12.111.6_1.32.00.00_Ship.exe
i go to grey screen it starts flashing and at 1% it reset and i have a message of error because of cid lock.

ok your OS partition is screwed up, you need to use a rom for your device (is there one yet?) or bypass the CID checking (working on that :) )

I have made a with nbhtool a ruusigned.bh from athena wwe english decompiled files and then i replace the one from the dutch tmobile.
It flash 1% and then diplay error in dutch.
And now i am blocked on the second splash the tmobile

1- wait for official update from t-mobile uk
2- wait for CID unlock or CID bypass software
3- try using mtty with the option wdata ( but i have no experience with that as well my ameo is dead),,,, more info about this command can be found at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Trinity_BootLoader

the password is the same as trinity....

Yes..wdatah command can u used..IDA Pro shows this..but need to confirm the address and length, also will try to get the USB capture.

There are notes that are desperately needed, and the device locks up at the green WINDOWS MOBILE screen (wm6 rom on uni). I will reflash the rom, but need the notes backed up first

If you can tell me the commands please, even if its just to dump the whole rom. Its urgent that I can recover the notes as they have business contact details I hadnt managed to backup when the uni died.
