I have searched for the last 3 days and can not come up with anything.

I upgraded to wm6 awhile back and on wm5 I was using dialup networking which worked perfectly.

Now with wm6 I guess you dont have dun anymore, so there's something called Internet sharing.

I found the Internet sharing feature 2 days into my trying to get dun working.

So my problem is Internet sharing does not seem to work.

I run the Internet sharing apps on the mda wm6 phone and it seems like its doing something as it says "connected"

,but when I try and find a bluetooth service from the laptop the only service available is serial port.

I tried using the microsoft bluetooth drivers and figured they were crap and not working so I got the d-link drivers finally working and still nothing.

I am wondering if my Faria's cooked rom is missing something.

Any ideas?

well... after playing some more I just figured too much was corupted in the registry/rom (faria) for Internet sharing to work.

I flashed to XDA 6.0 and Internet sharing worked perfect.

Now I have to reinstall everthing by hand :(

I think thats were the problem was as during my upgrade from wm5, I thought I would try and save the reinstall step and I restored from a backup, most things worked ,but little things still didnt work.

hope this helps someone :)

Well, glad you got it working. I posted a quick set of instructions on my blog for how to connect WM6/BT/Internet Sharing with a Macintosh (since people were a bit confused as to how to do it).
