View Full Version : Recording audio using hardware button

My original Vario used button 5 to record my voice when I held the button for a few seconds. I recently installed Black Shadow and I have lost this functionality.
I have tried using the Buttons settings to reconfigure Button 5 (held) but I can't see the audio recording function in the list of available functions.
Any ideas?

Thanks for posting the fix Avengerpenguin. I've been trying to get this function back.
I've installed the CAB, but no love. Am I missing a step?

have you tried to select that feature through the settings screen for button assignment. I had to switch min to a diffrent feature that i wanted using that control.

Not sure if anyone can get their hands on one, but my father just got the HTC Kaiser, and it comes pre-programmed to use the record button to start a voice note in the standard notes program. I have no idea how to pull off the programming but everything needed, i imagine is done and in the phone already.

Tried selecting record feature to a button. Found that the "Record" shortcut does not function. Probably miss-programmed. Anyone know what the shortcut should be?

You must first install a cab file that removes or re-assigns the BTT button, then install the Cab file to create a record button 5.
