I'm sorry to tell you guys that my ameo is dead (REALLY dead)

no power at all, checked the battery and its ok, so i think its hardware problem....


i have to buy another cuz to send it back for warranty is costy,


so i wont be around for a while till i save money and buy an other one...

hope you are anjoying your devices, nice being with you all... :((

sorry to hear that.. What are you doing with the dead one?

Could be useful... at the very least for tracing JTAG points :)

Sorry to hear that, but surely claiming on the warranty is cheaper than buying a new $1000 device?

lawbet7eb I'm really sorry to hear that. Don't give up on your device yet though. Why not PM Midget_1990 and see if he can take a look at it while we try to get the funds together for his device. Maybe what you think is bricked can be revived. If Midget is prepared to take a look at it for you there may be a chance....can't be sure at this stage.

Dead? Doubt it! Devices can appear dead when they are not. Midget_1990 knows what he is doing, he would prob sort it for nothing but if he sots it I'd bung him a ton - a darn site cheaper than the alternative!

i`m so sorry the hear this...i think sending for warranty claim would be cheaper than buying the new one....

it was connected to pc, went to lunch, came back and it was dead (no sign of power at all. like having the battery out)

maybe the usb drain your battery.
Have you tried to remove batterie and plug the charger ?

Yes, also, try putting the battery in an external charger to see if that will charge it.
