Sanyo has a pretty good reputation for batteries. I wouldn't worry about it much as you'll probably be looking for a jumbo battery soon if you use it much.

i would go for the dynapak, ive had that in my prophet and it was really good, however Sanyo is probably the best cell manufacture (if its not counterfit)

I have both, and get much better life out of the 1350 battery... The Sanyo has less battery life, for me...

I've had very good results with batteries from Seidio. The 8525 pack from them is labeled 1500mah "Japanese Cells assembeled in Taiwan". I have two and they are excellent.

Hey guys, well I got a replacement 8525 today. The new 8525 (now branded AT&T) came with a 1300mAh made in China by Sanyo battery model HERM 160. My old 8525 has a 1350 mAh made in Taiwan by DynaPack Co battery. model HERM 161

I know that the 1350 mAh is supposed to last longer, but which one has quality cells? So which battery should I keep? :confused:

So dude you have two 8525? Because I'm looking for an internal keypad membrane of the one sited at the bottom of the screen and if you won't use one of them anymore I'll buy the keypad membrane!

I chose a single battery to charge up and simply keep on me for emergencies as my WM6 rom keeps my default battery topped up for well over 2 days.
I wanted a long life battery but decided to stay with a thin phone as it would mean messing about each time i sat it in the desk top charger or case.
Each to their own though.
The single battery charges remarkably quick and lasted ages so am using it instead of the 1 month old original. The seller is VERY quick and also sells other size hermes batteries too.

Looks like it's the 1500 mah battery. I saw the Seido one, but they were charging like $50 for the whole thing (including shipping to SF, CA). I saw this site, and it looks decent, so I ordered from there for much cheaper...

I used a CS 1500mAH in my TYTN, not better than the serial battery. Today I used the mugen 1500mAH, very better.
I think CS is cheaper but they have not the full capacity they sell.

I just received the battery today. It appears to be working fine... Not a bad deal for a 1500 mah battery for the 8525...

At least I didn't get stood up on my paypal account...

3000mAh battery It is the biggest available for the Hermes. Also cheaper than boxwave and others on ebay. Only about $27 including the shipping.

I got it and it works great...also to those complaining about size...I must say we are already carrying a BIG phone so a little more size should not be a problem. Its not like we have a Pantech C3 and we are strapping on a Car battery.:D

Well, the day of my new "up to 40% more up time" 1500mAh battery bought from www.ipods99.com finally came .
I couldn't wait to charge it up and try it out. I happened to be going out on the road the next day, and so I thought that it would be the perfect opportunity to test the battery out.
Bad oh dear.....Within 3 hours, which involved 3 phone calls each well under 5 minutes a piece, 2 games of Virtual Pool, 4 Email checks via GPRS and a 10 minutes editing session on a word document, I was left with 27% battery charge. I couldn't believe it and when I got home I decided to run it down to 10% and recharge it in the hope that it was just "one of those things"
However, It wasn't!!

The same thing happened again, only this time the phone was on standby beside my bed and when I awoke the next morning the battery was FLAT. I am NOT kidding. As you can imagine I was a little bit upset (who wouldn't be!!!!)
So I tested out the two default batteries (one which came with the Hermes and the other a cheap Chinese copy from ebay that has always given me its best and been reliable) and both lasted over a day as was expected.

In all, I tested the new battery bought from www.ipods99.com for a week and no matter what I did or didn't do on my phone the battery has turned out to be a complete waste of time and the worst battery I have EVER had the misfortune of buying. It really is a pile of absolute CRAP!!

So, If anyone reads this...PLEASE TAKE HEAD AND DO NOT BUY THIS BATTERY!!! I have no idea of the other stock this company has for sale, but my reckoning is this: If a company can blatantly and obviously knowingly sell a product ANY PRODUCT under these conditions and write such a false write up, (provides up to 40% more up time...blah blah blah), then I for one am left wondering what else they are selling under false pretenses. I certainly WON'T be going there again apart from sending a detailed request for a full refund.

So to reiterate:

DO NOT BUY the 1500 BATTERY FROM IPODS99.COM from the below address

Did you ever carry a BA with an extended battery?! ;) THAT was a big and heavy phone. I just switched to an 8525 within the week and so far am loving it.

Interesting... I bought the battery from ipods99.com and it seems to be working fine for me. No objective measures on this or anything, but it definitely seems to have slightly more battery power than the OEM 1300 MaH battery that I had in my 8525.

Sorry that your experience was so bad.

Probably very bad QC at their plant and I just happened to get a decent one.
