Hey everyone, up for a new version of WM6? This "freshly" cooked ROM is based on a new available build, which is 5.2.968 All ROMs include the following:

Office 2007
Microsoft VoiceCommand
Windows Media Player (w/ Today Plugin)
TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player)
RealPlayer
HTC AudioManager
AdobeReader LE
HTC X-Button 1.0 (couldnt find the file for v1.5, so i attached the CAB)

I will make a second ROM that has the BlackBerry software in it - will add the link as soon as it is ready and uploaded-it will be the same rom but with the blackberry software in it.

UPDATE! I finally got the ROM up and running. I will upload it tonight, and post the link in the morning-i will test it tonight.

had to go with 3.00.. 3.3 was messing up the ROM and it wouldnt flash correctly for some reason. it works perfectly though - i have been testing it for a couple days. im just waiting for rapidshare to finish cause im uploading both as i type.. they should be up in probably a half hour.

EDIT: re-testing the ROM before I flash - RUU exited at 99% bc of the nk file.. had to rebuild... testing the BlackBerry version while I build the other one...
EDIT again: figured out the problem.. it was the battery fix.. so i had to take it out.. im rebuilding the ROMs and im gonna test them and upload them soon

Thank you so much for the battery drain fix Ranger666. I dunno if it fixed the battery drain issue, but I did notice something interesting. Earlier, I had installed the HTC Touch dialpad skin (v2) and I lost my data icon. It had been replaced by two arrows going in opposite directions. Upon installing this fix, I got my data icon back! Granted, it wasn't the same data icon, but heck, it's still a data icon. Long story short, I'm happy.

Scratch all that... It's back to the two arrows with an 'x'. Anyone know how to get back the data icon?

the sd card fix enables the power management even for the sd card, but in my case it led to dropouts while listening to mp3 saved on my sd card.

you can occasionally decide whether you wanna activate it or not

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\SDCARD\ClientDrivers\Cl ass\SDMemory_Class] --> soft reset necessary!

Lol, I'll give v2 a crack as soon as it's out. I was wondering though, what's new in this one vs the old one? I was readng the info you posted and compared it to v1; it looks the same. Can you give us a bit more info as to what this ROM will have? Again, thanks a lot for you're support. It's truly appreciated.

its just a newer build of WM6, and it has a new COMM manager. i had a few setbacks, and hopefully im gonna release it by tonight (PDT). i think (from my experiences, the newer build is better on battery. and it is only in english

whats the OS version? i have 10.2.0.8 WWE. is it newer than that? also are the DTMF tones fixed? with the version i flashed i cant use the numbers while in a call. they simply just do not work. it would be nice if they did.

huh.. thats odd.. i didnt have a problem.. and im not totally done building.. ive had continuous problems with the kitchen and i want to make sure that the ROM is 100% before i put it out.. so im not sure what the OS version is.. but the WM6 I am using for the building is the newer available.. it is 5.2.928.. i posted it! lol i only got the one w/o blackberry software working.. so the one with it and a new build (probably a v3 of this...) will be my project this weekend... im trying to intergrate a newer, nicer comm manager.. so will see how things go

I'm having some issues.. First thing is, there are NO ringtones, not even the default WM ones. Second, some system menus, like phone settings, network selection, etc. do not save; when you hit ok, nothing happens, it just sits there acting pretty. I've never seen anything like that before. Third thing is, there is a serious battery drain issue when the BatteryStatus plugin is installed. And finally, I've had numerous lock-ups/freezes. They occur either when I'm going through the menus too fast, or at boot up when at the WM6 boot screen. Anyone else having problems like this?? Any guess how to fix these things?

Well so far i've found this to be very fast but there is no Windows Media Player, Office 2007, no ring tones and the as said before me it hangs if you go in to phone settings.

You might wanna try making the base ROM from MobiOne's Pathfinder v1.2 ROM. It is faaaaast! And when I say fast, I don't mean regular fast, I mean retarded fast. It may be even be a newer version of the OS than the one you're using. In the "About" page of Settings it's listed as 5.2.1413 (Build 17913.0.3.0). No problems so far with this ROM, only issue I had was that the default language is set to Polish. I can't wait for v2 of your ROM, have had very good luck with v1!

gave up on it.. using the newest available base for my next.. cooking it tonight.. its gonna be v3. it will be as stable as possible. it will be posted and linked to ASAP.

Love the rom no function problems what so ever. Only thing I disliked is that there is no audible ringtones. So I frequently miss callers. Do you think we can get a fix for that?

The rom is fast I would love to look into adding more things to it. I just installed the 2.47.11 Radio and it actually has increased my initial signal strength. I highly recommend that if your living in the U.S.

If you guys have any excellent apps for the wizard please feel free to let me know I just now CID and SIM unlocked my phone so now I'm on a roll.

The reason it is so fast is because it has ABSOLUTELY nothing in it. I gave everyone the base nk instead of the built one, and just add some ringtones to your phone. 3gforfree.com has some good ones.. anyway.. im working on v3 now and im trying to make it usable. good luck and thanks for trying my ROMs
