Hello, just wondering, Mr. Samurai-ne, if you could post cabs of the mail applications (mms mail, and sms mail) for this rom. I want to use them with other roms.

I know the MMS version you used for this rom is msslite 2.75, but for some reason it causes non-Japanese wm6 roms to crash. Why does it work perfectly in Japanese roms? Did you modify it?

I can use MMS Lite 2.75 on LVSW or Black as following:

1. delete registry reference for Arcsoft:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acrsoft

2. install japanese font
http://www.asukal.jp/WM5/LetsJapanNo5x.cab
then SoftReset

3. install MMSLite 2.75

About SMS, you can use default Messaging from start menu

After checking MMS is working, you can change locale back to English because some programs are not working with Japanese Locale (Start -> Settings -> System->Regional Setting)

I am just wondering if Mr. Samurai-me somehow modified the MMSlite 2.75 to work better, because when I tried his rom, it worked flawlessly, WITH NO CRASHES (as did SMS). Sorry, I hope you can understand what I mean..... And just for the record, I have tried most WM6 English roms, and ALL have problems with crashes (due to MMS, it seems). Funny, all Japanese version I have tired work perfectly with zero crashes, even after days of operating... I suppose I could just use a Japanese Rom, but I would love to have an English one (set up with Japanese input, a working version of MMSlite, etc of course).

I got crash when install MMSLite before install Japanese font. So I have to hard reset or flash again, after that install japanese font then MMSLite, and I am not got any problem with mms. (I also install JP keyboard, and can use it properly). Did you install japanese font pack and soft reset?

tudo, thank you for the advice on the soft-reset. I had somehow missed that seemingly vital step. Since doing a hard-reset and following your steps exactly the hangups have stopped. (touch wood). I will let you know if I have any other problems. Cheers for that.

Suddenly updated from WM5 to WM6, I had so much of surprise!!!
There are a lot of soft that is not in WM5, and the interface is also nicer :)

If you want to use SMS by DOCOMO NETWORK,latest radio rom is 1.20.31.10.
Radio after that cannot be used. :(

You should have no problem, as long as you have the cab files or settings for your provider that you can run after you have installed the Samurai ROM. A search here or in the Wiki should bring it up quickly. Make sure you delete any connection settings for Softbank/Docomo before you do so.

You may have a problem for MMS. MMS composer is removed from this ROM because MMS does not support any carrier in Japan. So, if you do NOT use MMS, it is no problem to use this ROM.

What I mean is, 95% of the things I write are in English, but sometimes I need japanese. Everytime I write a mail, or I use word, I have to change from hiragana to Romanji. Also, there are some programs that don't work properly with Hiragana, because they expect english input (like the virtual keypad of "contacts" of "Spb Mobile Shell", that don't work).
So if by default, everytime I open a program, it has a "romanji" input, it would be really nice.

Congratulation for your great work. Below is my feedback to this ROM.

- Great look, especially the Today is splendid. I like the 6 button home.
- Older build OS, which I'm not comfortable with. Why don't you use the most recent build?
- You should change "tuch" to "touch" on the last page of welcome.exe. Also, "starting" can be "start".
- Office is old. I urge you to update to Office 2007 compatible version.
- SDHC works. I don't know why you believe it is not compatible with SDHC.

Congratulation for your great work. Below is my feedback to this ROM.

- Great look, especially the Today is splendid. I like the 6 button home.
- Older build OS, which I'm not comfortable with. Why don't you use the most recent build?
- You should change "tuch" to "touch" on the last page of welcome.exe. Also, "starting" can be "start".
- Office is old. I urge you to update to Office 2007 compatible version.
- SDHC works. I don't know why you believe it is not compatible with SDHC.

I am making NEW SAMURAI with official's ROM now.

Because there were a lot of demands from the SBM user
It was thought that it made it in NEW SAMURAI for SBM.

However, you of SBM are more detailed.

Q1: Can you add the normal MMS software on your ROM? Now I use my Tytn in Thailand with your ROM. I use "MMSlite" in your ROM because your ROM doesn't have MMS function, but as you know MMSlite doesn't work well ( I believe MMSlite is adjusted for SBM only, right ? )

Q2: Can I use your new ROM for not only SBM, but also the other operators ?

Q1:MMS is not general in Japan.
It deletes it because of and capacity.

Q2:For DOCOMO and for SBM
Two kinds are announced.
It is possible to correspond to various careers for DOCOMO.

2º)I have Japanese I/O enabled, and I use this app to chose "Roma/Kana" by default, but I have another problem. Now, I have "hiragana" by default, and I want to change to "romanji" (normal english input); but no idea how to do it (><)

I was in same situation on the hTcZ original ROM and it was cleared with SIM replacement. Docomo technician says "old sim card often has a problem with sms recieving, so we replace it."

On Samurai-rom with docomo white sim, I had no trouble around pushmail.
please check your pushmail setting on the mopera.net. goodluck.
