i was wondering. is this at all possible? with the upcoming iPhone release there are going to be huge amounts of fanboys creating apps for it bc of its potential userbase. so i was wondering, Will it be possible to port\write the rendering engine (Safari) on our pocket pc phones

if you check this example, we should be able to test this already, http://davidcann.com/iphone/

dl Safari for Windows here: http://www.apple.com/safari/ becareful though its beta and riddled with holes since day 1.

it renders in safari and safari can run on windows through Apple WebKit. get here: http://webkit.org/

and what ever happened with microsofts ppc port of sideshow on vista? or this

You mean render the Safari browser into PPC??
You serious?

As far as http://www.mrgan.com/onetrip/#, I tried this a few days ago with PIE, the result is mostly garbage.

Tried it with Opera, the page comes up, relatively nice but no functionality.
You get JavaScript errors (1).

Thinking what would come up with Netfront. I have it but I really have not given it a try.
