[Help]Unlocking Cingular 8125

Hey im new to these forums and just need help unlocking my Cingualr 8125 or put a different Rom liek the xda windows mobile 6.0. Im folowing the steps but like when i open "ROMupdateutility.exe" I follow the steps and when it starts my 8125 goes to like bootmode? It has 3 colors on the screen
red greedn and blue and then on the ROMUPDate utlity i got error 300...i tryed like so many times i need help thnx =[

EDIT : the error says error 300 invalid update tool.... "This error message will appear when you use the incorrect RUU to upgrade. Please make sure you use the correct RUU version to upgrade." where do i get the correct RUU then?...

Also found out that its a G4 because of the Ip number or w/e because it has 3 zeros then a 1 for example .0001

From what ive seen on these forums my phone is G4 Because it has xxx1 at the end of the ip or w/e that shit is. I would gladly appreciate it if someone would help me unlock my G4.One of my friends has his unlocked it looks like Vista and it has all these sweet programs. Since i just got mine its g4 I guess..and since he got him like 2 months bevfore me maybe his was g3 so it was easy...

Noob, i already checked that one. Its stickied why wouldnt i not check it before posting this thread?

Anyhow, chaos36 it's really important to read up on this site before posting. All the answers are readily available (with some time and patience).

Here's a quick guideline ...

But just a bit of friendly advice for you in the future. Read and search all you can, then if you can't find what you're looking for, read and search some more before posting. ;)

Can you still get into the bootloader screen? (the red/blue/green screen)

To get into the bootloader you need to HOLD the camera button and tap the reset button.

Alright, this is a good example (one that we've all seen over and over again here) of how not to jump into flashing your phone without reading everything thoroughly.

Stay in the bootloader screen, keep your USB cord plugged in and reflash your original carrier's ROM. That will get you back to factory specs.

Then, don't try flashing anything else UNTIL you read everything I mentioned in the previous post first, at least a couple times through.

Just some advice :)

Well, glad to help. To reflash your original carriers ROM, you need to download it from their website and execute it.

Ok i got a cingular 8125. So to download it i go to Cingualr.com?...Sorry for being so noob and do you got AIm will be much easier for you to help me there ty.

I'm actually about to hit the sack. But you can get the Cingular ROM here (http://download.america.htc.com/RUU_Wizard_225111_22511102_022511_CWS_WWE_Ship_1.e xe). Just download and install it and you'll be good. :)

Taurus pretty much held your hand and walked you thru it. You should be fine after this point. And if some of the links arent working, just let some of the mods now and they will take care of all that stuff. So good luck with the flashing. :)

Yes he did and it was nice of him for doing that to me. My 8125 is fine now..but the link you gave me for the flash's are dead the links dont work =[
