Cant use RUU to dowhngrade cingular ROM

I have a Cingular 8125 and trying to cid unlock it to upgrade ROM on it but i followed the guide to a T and everytime i try to run the utility it comes back with an error saying i need to get an updated ROM utility. I just got this replaced by warranty exchange but the one i had i was able to cid unlock it and upgrsde roms with no problem.
I have windows xp and dont know what to do? Do i need to get another exchange or can anyone help please?

I have tried everything and re read thr guide but nothing works.

try downloading the kitchen in my sig, and use the tool in the flashing folder.

Sorry, but I have to ask this... Is your phone a G3 or G4? You also aren't saying what you are trying to downgrade to. Is it teh Button ROM or something else?

The rom that is linked from Cingulars website to HTC's will not work on some versions of the G4 Wizards. Try using this RUU instead of the other RUU. Just replace the Rom update utility inside the folder you have put the nk.nbf file into.

yes it is a G3 and button's ROM is what I was trying to downgrade to bu tI will try the new upgrade utility and see if that helps or otherwise I will get a warranty exchange.
