That tool never worked good for me :(
The weird thing is it keeps all settings 4 out of 5 times and then suddenly the pairing is broken, not really lost the settings just feels its not ok anymore.
This morgning, no reboot or shutdown after repairing yesterday and it was gone again.
Will try the tool once more though, see if it helps.

I am trying to update my S200 toi PV 4.0.0.03, I did the step one, then i launch the upgrade of the 4.0.0.0.3 puis my S200 say "No text files found" and the .bat on the pc stay like this :

Have you do hard reset after upgrade? I had has the same problem, and I had solve it by Hard Reset...

And DON'T RESTORE PREVIOUS BACKUPS from other Roms... Use PIMBackup to backup pim data.

AFAIK this is a totally new rom ( albiet just upgraded from .4) anywho i would always downgrade to 2.2 wm5 before upgrading to anything wm6, unless stated otherwise of course.

Screenshots would be exactly same as .4 except little lower memory (as stated in the .4s thread) and the old comm manager?

And now onto the subject at hand, .4.

I just upped from .3 and although i found .3 to do funny things - it wasnt anything special. i really like .4, it seems a lil slow - but i can wait 2s for the comm manager screen etc to come up - all other things seem fine.

i like the HTC home screen, and also the theme - they rock.

Havent tried/dont use wifi.

push exchange email over grps works a treat - had my contacts/emails back in 2 mins.

battery life seems awesome - once i tweaked screen brightness and made push emails manual in off peak - has hardly moved, maybe gone down 10% in 1 days with a few calls and emails running during peak. i like that.

overall im happy with this rom.

This was my first experience at flashing roms, but it worked very well. Finally succeeded in updating my jamin to wm6. This rom 4.0.0.4PV is excellent.. fast and so far I haven't noticed any bugs. Battery life is decent too.. my only grievance is the loss of number pad! I had really gotten used to it. While blimkeys is good, I'd still prefer number pad.

One more helpful hint for newbies.. when updating ROM, the partnerships in active sync should always be guest only.. i was stuck for a bit cause some file won't update on my device. That was mainly cause I was setting up a regular partnership, before trying to flash.

A quick question though.. if an update comes around e.g. 4.0.0.5, can I just install it on top of this current build? Or would have to downgrade and then upgrade again?

the proper way,is to downgrade first to aku2.2 and flash to the new rom....

- Right. b'cause in regular partnership, your device synchronizing data with PC. Some programs have running to keep that "partnership" and OS refused changing from operating structures . Guest partnership allowed you changing OS (upgrade)
- You would better down fisrt, then upgrade for stable ROM flashing. Remember that these WM6 ROM for Prophet are modified from Wizard WM6 ROM for temporary use, still waiting for the official ROM from MicroSoft. 2 steps upgrading preventing problems happen when using non fully compatible OS.

just wondering if someone could help me.

i have the bluegear gear4u bluetooth headphones that i brought last month, and with the old (pdamobiz 1.5) rom it was sync-ing and sending the music/sounds to the headphones, but this does not happen with the new rom, even when i select the 'headset' and 'handsfree' options in the bluetooth device menu.


so, does this mean it doesnt work, or is there some setting i need?

That's a mod from Official Wizard's WM6 ROM released by MicroSoft, to temporarily update Prophet from its official WM5, and modify sth to archive max operating speed of usual applications. It seems strange, but in fact, the modification possibly suits with Prophet OMAP859 CPU, only running 195MHz clockspeed in the original Wizard's OS environment (Wizard is a faster Intel CPU device). That would be main reason why Dr (Honnour) Bill's delaying WM6 official Prophet ROM release!!!:)

When clicked on contacts icon it seems contacts is opening and in the very same second it disappears. Unable to use a phone without contacts lists. Will be very happy if somebody may advise.

Another symptom is: after reset following popup message appears:
"The file 'autorun' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem presists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

in the WM6 guide(i assume you read it),it says "DON'T RESTORE OLDER BACKUPS".... If you restore a backup from another rom,you will get the "symptoms" you mention...It is like making a backup in Windows XP and using it in Vista,it's never gonna work..... Please,DON'T RESTORE OLDER BACKUPS OR BACKUP FROM OTHER ROMS

IMHO they are currently the best ones.
Now, related to .5, do you know if the "usual" problems are solved, like the wifi not turning on every time and the missing settings after reset? Will it still be a clean ROM? Are you planing to make both S and non S versions (with touch apps)?

I really like the touch aps and I actually just finished installing everything I need to my Prophet. We'll see how it goes, if it's totally cool, I guess I'm gonna have to hard reset again :)

Btw, I think 4.0.0.0.4 is very stable, minor bug but not too bad.

And hey, can you get rid of the new SMS notification in .5? it's really annoying. If I try to shut it down from the registry (SMSAvailable = 0), It will disappear along with the sound too. So, I dun get any sound when there is a new SMS. I think this is a bug. Unless somebody can tell me how to get rid of that annoying notification and keeping the sound.

I have upgraded to the new rom and I have an iTech R35 bluetooth, when I connected it to hear music, most of the time it's stops and then later I can hear it again, it also drains the headsets in 5 mins or less. Don't have this problem if I use it on a mobile phone, is there a bug?

But there is problem with bluetooth ( Handsfree ). They pairing without any problem, however most of time handsfree muted itself.

rtd, try plug in the phone, then do a soft reset while the phone is connected and do nothing; the phone will pause at the HTC screen, but charging all along, wait for a couple of hours and disconnect and you will see your phone fully fed with energy. That is only my experience with my previous ROMs which failed to charge on my car-plug and also on my iPod USB plug. It worked every time. Do worth a try. good luck.

If you were looking at speed, you shoulda used 4.0.0.3... the 4.0.0.4 is for luxury... You say it takes 2 secs for the Windows Files, its the same in 4.0.0.3... And don't forget the extra files that would be in the WM6 /Windows folder...

P.S. The only worry I have of 4.0.0.5 is the 4.0.0.4 problem with messanger, but if you're redoing the core, I hope it works!

I dun think you can because Dopod D810 is NOT a PROPHET. This ROM only works for Prophet, like 818Pro, QTek S200 etc. Please find the type of your HTC and go to their forum.

I dun think you can because Dopod D810 is NOT a PROPHET. This ROM only works for Prophet, like 818Pro, QTek S200 etc. Please find the type of your HTC and go to their forum.

First, you have to upgrade your Dopod D810 to WM6. (Dopod Asia provides free upgrade to WM6 for Dopod D810 users, please check their website). After you have successfully upgrade to WM6. You could try this link:

Do this at your own risk. Dopod D810 is a HTC Trinity. You could try going to Trinity forum to see if they have another solution.

Did you redo al your settings? Due to yhe flashing everything has to be set all over again. You should find the right settings for your account somewhere on the site of your provider.. (i think)..

I am currently trying to load this rom onto my TMO MDA and am having some issues.
I am currently using the tmo 2.26.10.2

I am new at this and was wondering if I could have some assistance.

I have downloaded the file, but am unsure what file to run. I have looked through this thread, and if I am reading it right, I need wm6? I didn't notice a link for a wm6 rom upgrade. Is there 1, and if so, would someone be kind enough to post a link, as well as any additional steps I must take before loading this ROM?
