Not true... the hardware is still sufficient - or in other words: todays PDAs are no better than the Magician.

It's actually a pity that it's dead in a development way.

@vladimir2989: So, since HTC won't code necessary drivers nor give out hardware specs needed for 3rd party devs there won't be no new Windows. But I heard Linux development has come quite far.

I agree with you. Magician is running at the speed of 416mhz and average todays PDAs are running at 300mhz or 400mhz.

You haven't got it! There are other devices with a similar memory configuration which are WM5/6 enabled.
Magician remains with WM2k3 only due to HTC's will.

hi guys i just wanted to tell u that there is a little chance for wm6 to work on the magican cause i tried the {aku 3.5.2(wm6)} rom and it was sucsisfully installed and i reached the congratiolations screen :) .but :( when i turn on the deice it starts vibrating with a black screen

LOL just because it installed successfully doesnt mean it will work, both terms are different in meaning and aspect... im also a magician user and up till now m still hoping that somehow somewhere a genius of some sort would come up and say, "You are all wrong, there is wm5 for magician!", but sadly that hope is slowly withering away...

All of them have got only 64 MB ROM (http://www.insidepda.de/pda-katalog,HTC,34.html). RAM varies from 32MB to 128MB.

And who'd really care for Storage? We've all got memory cards.

But now let's stop this discussion... none of the persons/companys able to release WM5/6 for Magician will do it. Others miss specs and can't. Bottom line.

1. processor (intel pxa 272)
2. lack of DOC (This has largely cut wm5 on magician) //
3. small size of rom // only 32mb//
For example the rom wm5 (wm6) of the universal. holds 64 megabytes. wm6 trite not fit in the 32 megabytes

Even if found way to launch wm5 (6) on magician. the main problem is a total lack of storage (I did not know a single device to be used ... for storage. built-in processor STRATAFLASH)
