depends on what you want.. do u want speed or do you want the look.. to be honest, .4 rocks when it comes to looks.. you aint gonna get somethin' better lookin' than .4 at this moment. on the other hand if speed matters, then go for .3a.. but a word of caution, don't expect .3a to be perfect... there already have been known wifi issues and some bt issues too.. but all-in-all its perfect taking in consideration more buggyones than .3a out there..

there is no such thing as perfect.. perfect is based upon our own perspective.. when things that we need are fulfilled successfully, we call that thing perfect. have you ever heard about a perfect phone, a perfect computer, or a perfect software.. i dont think so because there is always something n something that the programmer/creator forgot to consider and thus there are some flaws in it.. so i dont think perfect will ever come straight into our face.. its a matter of us looking for it..

Yup...absolutely right...current, i am using PDAViet 4.0.0.0.4 version and have trouble (sometime hang). in one day i can soft reset twice until third time and closing application suddenly. (it rare happened) :D

I use 4.0.0.3 (NOT 4.0.0.3a with no WiFi or BT problems. MMS works like charm. The only bugs I've noticed so far is the "word completion" module, that does not store new words and sometimes (rarely) wrongly redrawing Today screen.

For me 4.0.0.3! It is fast and battery consumption is very good! My only prob is SMS.

Tried 4.0.0.4 and it was a pain:mad: . Had to soft reset many times. Stay on 4.0.0.3 until all bugs are fixed.

SMS is working fine in 4.0.0.03, but zoomsms (from eten) doesn't work. This always worked with other wm6 roms.

Both .3 and .4 work fab on my device, with some small quirks.
If you want a speedy rom, go for .3. If you want great looks with the expense of a small slowdown, go for .4.

why don't u try .3 first for a couple of days, then try .4
u know, there are different problems, some1 has sms problem, some1 does not have this problem
so my advice to u is, try urself, and find out urself

it's not a question, which is better n which is not. the one which solves ur problems and fulfill ur desires, is the perfect one

i have test .4 ... on first day, this rom has perfect!! but 4/5days later this rom has so slow :S, i dont have install nothing on that... none app, nothing!
So... there is no wm6 stable at this moment!

I have similar experience. All WM6 ROM's start out nice fast and exciting. But somehow they gradually degraded for no apparent reason. It seems like something like a time bomb or worm built-in to eat up the ROM gradually.

Anyone else would comment?

and what is the different between radio in the first edition with the latest ? and how to upgrade n downgrade the radio?

is the upgrading stuff of pda didn't make the hardware to be more malfunction?

any program that can be installed in wm6 say it 2-3 items please.

Hi i have been looking at all these comparisons with great interest mostly with the battery drain issue, for that reason i am testing mine today to see how long it lasts!

at the mo i am running 4.0.0.0.4 and i have successfully tried all PDAVIET roms with no real problems. I think the key to that is reading up and 100% understanding what you are doing and then upgrading it, ive noticed that most of the same people that ask "how do i upgrade my rom!" are the ones that later on complain of bugs and faults not to say that the rom is flawless however, i wouldnt say though that the rom is so buggy its preventitive from daily usage.

anyway, ill go against the norm and say that i find 4.0.0.0.4 quite fast, at least faster than WM5, this is without using OMAP.
in terms of battery drain...on thursday i used my phone alot (from 4am till 10pm), the BT was on all day with my handsfree kit and half of the day i was talking on the phone and the other half i was watching movies on it (core player :p) by the time i had finished and come home the battery was at 30 odd percent which to me after a full days heavy usage is not too bad.

I dont really have a problem charging my phone daily even when im on the go (and i travel alot) i mean how many people that really use and depend on their phone go away for days on end and dont carry a means to charge it?
i mean can't you can carry a wall socket, a usb lead for your laptop or a car charger? to me people talking about their phone not lasting 2+ days on end are a bit nutty to think they could go that long and not charge it!

The things that have not worked for me are GPRS which i am not sure if it is to do with the settings i am getting from orange or if its the rom.
Also i have been having problems getting my GPS reciever correctly paired although that may be user error :p

I've tried the ROM 4.0.0.4 PV, that's so great look! I like it, but it's working slowly. That's okie, I read it.
But when I installed RescoExplorer, this program couldn't work, the prophet's hang with it, but I can stop this program, try many times, and after that, I removed it! But with Total-Commander, it's okie! (Funny)
And the big problem is I couldn't syncronize anything (contacts, notes, calendars...), while the prophet's still connected with the pc!!!!
Who can share and help me in this problem?

overclock ur ppc using omap (its integrated to BatteryStatus), mine is overclocked to 273MHz, very stable and fast.

and yes i had problems with activesync too, i re-installed activesync and everything worked fine.

So funny, I removed and reinstalled Activesync many times! But couldn't sync any. And after that, I flahsed another rom, my prophet syncronized!
I can't understand :D !!!

I've not tried 03 nor 03a. I jumped straight from 02 to 04. So my comparison will be between 02 and 04. I think 04 is about as fast as 02 without overclocking. But 04 definitely has less batt drain than 02, and looks much better.

Btw, anyone knows the version of core player in 02? It has a nice skin and icon. If anyone can post the cab file, it'll be much appreciated.
