It sounds odd that the Prophet won't take the chargers it used to have with WM5 while the hardware remains the identical.

Could it be that WM6 has a higher current requirement so other ordinary mini USB chargers won't work?

I haven't really upgraded mine to WM6 if the charging problem happens so often that I need to soft reset or do other tricks.

Could anyone please advise:

1. The original Dopod/iMate (1000mA) chargers works fine without any trick?
2. Only the generic chargers need a soft reset/other tricks to get it work? If so, what's the voltage & current of the adapter?
3. I know it probably won't work well with car chargers. But anyone tries a 1000mA or even a 2000mA car chargers? I know most in the market are 500/850mA.

Thanks guys for all your inputs.

You cant charge your device with more then ~800mAh. Not the Charging Adapter limit it ... its the Device! The Charging Controller cant charge faster.

The WM6 Charging Problem ... uhm ... i think its a Rom Problem too?? The most WM6 Prophets have Wizard Roms. The Rom have a charging Patch. This Patch must setup the Charging Controller?? I am not realy sure how it works, but you cant charge faster your batterie in the device. If you have the Desk Charger ... they can :->
