I am since recently the owner of the htc touch and very happy, but I still have one rather big problem with it.

I am not able to connect to the wifi network at home, I am relativitly new to pda's so i hope it is just a wrong setting. Whenever i turn my touch on it wil see the network for a couple seconds try to connect and the say it is unavaileble.

I tried making the network secured and unsecured but it didn't help. I don't think the network is causing the problem because my laptop can connect without any problem. The network is generated by a wifi usb transmitter http://www.hercules.com/showpage_wifi_USB_Transmitter.php.

It didn't activate my grps neither I don't know if that can have anything to do with it.

Any help widely appreciated.

Can you try connecting to some one elses network to see if its an incompatibility with your model of wifi access point.

Also I know you tried with WEP on, but you could also try with WPA on.

That is the problem I don't have any other networks in the vicinity to trie and because of the exams I don't come out enough to find another ;).
But it would surprise me if these usb transmitters weren't compatible with pda's, because they sell them in the store to work with pda's.

I tried with WPA PSK tkip dit doesn't work.

This is not a standard wireless setup and may not be compatible with the HTC wifi client implementation. Try your phone at a local free wifi hotspot like a cafe.

I am not able to connect to the wifi network... Whenever i turn my touch on it wil see the network for a couple seconds try to connect and the say it is unavaileble.

I own an unlocked Tilt and am experiencing the same issues with my WiFi. I have tried to scan the internet for solutions but have yet to find one.

I have tried to connect to different newtworks, including unsecure ones. It does recognize available networks, it just will not connect to any for longer than a few seconds.

Hopefully, someone will have a solution!

I am having the same problem with my touch. :( It will see my wifi signal and when I click connect it says connecting then goes to unavailable. Same with other Wifi connections around me. Both with secured and unsecured. Somebody help.
