ausbj what version are you using at the moment?
I really don't like operator roms so I am going to give this a miss.

I flashed it last night, and I like the newer radio.

Rom version: 1.07.502.0
Rom date: 6/13/07
Radio: 0.26.07.06B
Protocol: 22.32.70.01.bh

CPU: Qualcomm 7200
Speed: 400mhz
RAM: 128MB
Flash size: 256MB
Data bus: 32bits
Storage: 133.41MB
Colors: 65536

It also shipped with a 2GB Micro SD card in the phone, which was a nice surprise.

Thanks for the newer rom. Other than removing the AT&T crap (customizations), its perfect for me.

Yeah baby! The first Kaiser ROM image. I'll start seeing if we will need to tweak the toolsets.

@sonystyle:

parts of it will :D

Ok, nbhextract works. However, imgfs/XIP has been bumped a bit in the nb so I can't retrieve it fttb. I'll start looking at this.

I wonder if HTC is planning on their own version of this device.... I'd sure like to start out with a SIM-Unlocked Kaiser.

edit: Found the answer (which is "yes, as the P4550")

Thanks Sleuth.

My phone is unlocked. The first one wasnt but there seem to be several floating around unlocked now.

Hope you can customize it for us!

So you are testing the Cingular/AT&T version of the phone?

May I ask where you got it and how much it cost? I'm on the network and have been drooling over this phone.

Nope I got an unlocked pre production phone and then downloaded the AT&T/Cingular ROM from this site.

I am testing one and seems that the Qualcomm implementation of HSDPA and even EDGE is superior to the 8525. A-GPS is a pain and will not work as a classical GPS. Need for AT&T to offer A-GPS as an E911 feature to be able to use it ( December 07). The phone is the first ever to offer HSUPA ( 2Mbps uplink) which will be deployed November07 ( tested succesfully in the lab),
Camera 3Mbs is nice too but not as good as digital cameras but far better than the 8525 camera. I will post some shots later
WM6 still buggy. It freezes often while streaming media player or realplayer

:)

kaiser cing/att 8925 hum looks like new at&t is coming out anyone know is it gona be video calling 3G?

austin_boy
27th June 2007, 02:55 PM
No. Video calling will never be introduced in the US( at least for now ) . It is a capacity drainer for the operators and will be priced very high. The only video service will be video share ( launched as we apeak ). You will be able to stream live to the internet so your friends can see you anywhere on a PC

Hi austin_boy

Quick question on the camera. Does it auto-focus?

Thanks

yes it does. I will upload tomorrow some shots. The key to a good photo is the light since there is no flash. The 7200 chipset support up to 8Mpixel
HTC implemented 3M

Any suggestions on how I can flash this CING rom on a Vodafone Netherlands branded test-device. I keep getting a Invalid Vendor ID message when trying to flash. I can't seem to find any CID unlocker or other information anywhere on the net, inlcuding this site so any help at all would be great !

Imei checker doesn´t have the kaiser yet so I´m at a loss what to do...

I saw this already and sent him a PM to which I'm awaiting a response.
He doesn´t state that it unlocks the CID-lock however, just the simlock.

My sample is simlock free, just not CID free....

It doesn't cid un lock the device, I ask him a few days ago and he confirmed it to me, it'll only sim unlock the device. Hopefully a cid unlock comes out soon.. :( .. but like all things a little patience goes a long way.

True... especially considering it isn't even available yet to regular consumers.. I guess I'm just a little too early this time... (Glad I got TomTom6 working though)
