excuse me if this is terribly obvious.....but.....I don't have this device because I want to utilize Hsdpa speeds (not just Utms)......
so is this now available for the 750....hack or otherwise.....and if not, could I commission some hearty chef to take it on?!
thanks

There has been a hack out for months for HSDPA. I get speeds here in NYC 700 - 900 and above at times.
Edit: oo3 is right, do a search next time.

Just a quick note on the HSDPA "hack" - it will indeed enable HSDPA data, but does not enable simultaneous data+voice capabilities like a true HSDPA implementation will.

Coulda fooled me.
I was driving (read: being a passenger) through Chicago talking on my Treo 750 on my Bluetooth headset while I was browsing the web on the device itself.
Sure looked like simultaneous data+voice to me! ;)

I concur with skuzz...
I've been talking on the phone when instant messages or email comes in... Nothing more distracting than the 3quick vibrates of Agile Messenger when an instant message comes in.
Highest speed I think I've gotten in like 939....

UMTS is capapble of voice/data together regardless of whether or not you have HSDPA enabled.

The only users who won't see concurrent voice and data are those with Vodafone Treo 750vs.
Vodafones UK network doesn't support concurrent voice and HSDPA in the south yet, so Palm have disabled the feature. If you're roaming/using a diff rom ymmv.
Which is why diff folks see different things :)
