Wow! Thanks! This is a great alternative to Windows Media Player - handles my music collection much better and the timing is perfect - I was looking for a replacement application.

Is it just me or doesn't this program sort the music on the albums correctly. Seems like it just does alphabetical and not by real album track order as WMP does.

I'd use it all the time if it weren't for that. Is there a way around that? I don't see anyway to set it up sorting wise.

Woo got this running on my samsung blackjack aka i600. Its the one thing i missed from my SPV E650. Changed to the blackjack because the screen kept breaking on the SPV gutted as it was an awesome lil phone.

Yep, I confirm, and it is a reason for me to use WMP.

Is everyones' font on main streen of HTC audio manager (artist, title etc...) so small? I run it on QVGA screen and it is really tiny - like 8 px :/
Any solutions please?

Anyone figure out a registry entry or something to adjust the font on the Audio Manager? I need it like 12 or 14 point... anyone?

I've been using TCPMP, a very neat player with lots of plugins for both audio and video playback, works wonderfully, has many options (I mean many!), even a benchmark  , in a few words I love it! :)

You should give it a try, and with the plug ins you can get flv playback, mp4 playback and whoever knows what may come out soon :D

Used in combination with Pocket DivX encoder works like a charm with my lobby, the only weak point is when you try to play WMV files intended for PC, the WMP has a bit more power, but who said one program eliminates the other

Is there an updated version of the Audio Manager?
There's some bugs in version 1.0, such as sorting by trackname vs track #
HE-AAC playback doesn't seem to work properly, SBR is not decoded, sounds dull
I've contacted HTC but they weren't be able to help much, gotten no responce after sending them a sample file...

Most recent version i've seen on the forums version 1.02 build 1017.717 should have the fix to sort by track #

just select Set as ringtone in Menu and then select Trim. This is where you can crop the song and save it as the ringtone

I just recently changed my ATT tilt with the windows 6.0 version to the 6.1 version. I want to download the HTC Audio Manager so I can manage my ring-tones. However, I downloaded the link that was provided by rickwyatt and run it to my laptop but could not find the setup to install it on my laptop to transfer it to my phone. I tried also to copy the audio-zip link and paste it to my storage card while my phone was syncing but it didn't work. Can some one tell me how to or get the HTC manager so I can transfer it to my phone and what are the protocols. Thanks,

Anyone know if this program is adaptable for a VGA device like the iPaq 21x series? I've got a 211 but unfortunately, no luck in a custom ROM yet, but I'd still like this program, and I know lots of others would too! THANX TO ANYONE WHO REPLIES

Excuse me, wouldn't like to admit my stupidity, but how can i "add folder" to playlist using this audio manager's library?
I tried everything, i'm not bad really in using software of any sort, but this program petrifies me, i can't believe they just didn't made this must-have option to add folder!
I really like the player, the way how it integrated in HTC-Home, the speed it loads, the design even, but i JUST CAN'T play music w/ it. I mean it divides files by metadata, like genre, album, artist and all that, and it can vary greatly in .mp3 files. I have like 8GB of music not in best quality wich makes thousands of tracks. I have them classified by directories, subdirectories and all that, and i can't find the damn way to simply add folder to a playlist.
This really pisses me off, so i use pocketmusic, it works fine, of course it's design doesn't fit the phone, yet it works just fine and another problem, it stops playback once i press standby button =( Which makes it quite uncomfortable to use phone as a player when i do some activities.
This HTC player plays just fine when i press power button shortly, and i have both key and screen locked so i don't accidentally press anything.

as for me this program is too simple.
1) there's no possibility to check bitrate.
2) there's no possibility to change the skin
3) there're no visualisation
and many many other features that WMP has

the only one option i liked - set as ringtone

No worries, I am sure your program will be much better given your positive productive feedback.
