View Full Version : URGE Syn Error e0040e04 Solution

I'm a noob and this is my first post so please be gentle with critique. I could not find a similar post so I thought I'd offer this up for communal use.

I have been evaluating the URGE subscription music to go service over the past week and kept running into an error during the sync process to my device (error code in the subject line). The track downloads fine, plays fine on the desktop but fails to sync to the device citing the aforementioned error.

I found a solution to the issue although I would not call it a final solution. I'm posting it here so that if anyone else is having this issue they can find a solution on the net via this forum and/or Google.

I found that if I Sign-Out of URGE after downloading the track (w/ proper sync rights) then queue the desired track(s) for sync then "Start Sync" the tracks will sync to the device.

Something about being Signed-In prevents the sync. I do not know why.

Syncing From:
* Custom Built PC
* Win XP SP2 (32 bit)
* Windows Media Player 11.0.5721.5145
* URGE 1.1.9060.0

Syncing To:
* Cingular 8525 (aka HTC Hermes, AT&T 8525)
* Windows Mobile 6 (Black Shadow IV)
* Storage Card (Sandisk 512 MB)
