XDA II Stuck in USB Mode

I have a XDA II that is stuck in the USB mode. i was attempting to do an upgrade but the program said it could not update it like 5 mins into it. is there a way that i ican get it back to normal? i was trying to it from the german rom to the english. i am running windows Vista. will that be a reason for my problems?

Reflash the original ROM that you had on it to begin with. You need to be CID unlocked before you can flash a ROM with a different language.
