Hey guys, i think it is pretty no point. Because they are very smart as they seem to know what is our plan for what i see from their website. They even label us as Foreigner. When I went to the www.taobao.com to see the o2 atom exec wm6, the link had been removed. Surprising, those who post in the forum about the upgrade are all new comer. Good News. Internet Connection Sharing now works! Can you help me... how to set up the PC to use this? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I found a tutorial for the HP but it doesn't work for the Atom because they use some predefined IP addresses.

PS: I have just received a call with ICS enabled. The EDGE dropped and the call came in. After the call, the EDGE connected automatically. If this were usb modem link connection, the incoming call could not be received. This is the advantage of ICS.

I'm coming out with WM5 AKU3.3 Final Edition. For my Atom, it consumes battery as it is before - 36~48 hrs standy by time with minimal usage to no activity.

I'm preparing a ROM kitchen, so everyone can cook their own ROM, and put only the stuff they want.

Will be starting to work on WM6 with a porting guru... he could port it faster if he had a device at hand. I'm still asking him where he lives, so the closest Atom guy can get to him.

I think this is not ROM related... I think it is hardware, I don't think ROM can destroy your button hardware. Alternate keys to BL mode is CAMERA+RESET.

You have to bring your Atom to service center if it is hardware problem.

BTW i had been using this powermanagement cab and can felt the batt last longer especially for standby hours. Hope its useful for everyone here :)

Hi ckaidi,

This power management settings will simply enable power management for ActiveSync, InfraRed, PPTP, and L2TP which is disabled by default. I would rather have this as an option because I don't know if it will interfer with any other operation. I will include it on the new EXTENDED ROM though.

2. select PC connection (USB)
3. select Network Connection (Mobile Operator Internet access)
4. select connect

PC side

3. When connected, start surfing!!!!

also things that i have noticed the bluetooth A2DP working well windows media player is a lot lighter than before .

i tried installing MSN Live messanger and Opera browser i couldnt get it to install because of the issue with the software not being digitally signed.

also is there any wayz u could get the Voip feature from WM6 into this version ??

I've installed Opera 8.60 without any problem.
And Jiggs, go slow. Like I've said before, it's better to have a stable and robust prog than try to achieve WM6 and foul up

I noticed that my text/sms message remain in the outbox. CANNOT SEND MESSAGE.

after reflashing the ROM, Not installing xcpuscalar,spbgpsmonitor (included in the ROM) then I did not install the SPB Mobile Shell and SPB Phone Suite, the wifi/GPRS issued is solved. I suspected that SPB Phone suite or SPB mobile made this problem (im not sure)

But Still the SMS issue is there , CANNOT send/receive SMS MESSAGES and the Today Menu on START.

I'm downloading the latest AKU3.3.3. Hats off to jiggs. I don't do internet sharing. So, I don't mind. jiggs and ckaidi could be right about same model behaving differently. And one more thing, try not to install all apps at a go. Our resources are limited unlike our PCs. Install one and use it for a couple of days to see how it behaves. If it's fine, install another one.
On my Atom, after installing the ROM and basic apps like TCPMP, after I've installed iPhone by Grumps, things got a little buggy. Mind you, I've not installed all the SPBs apps such as Pocket Plus(the magic button closes apps rather effectively) and Mobile Shell(I can launch apps from iPhone). Hope this might help ;)

Aside the SMS issue, my battery life now is 42%. Around 3 calls (2min duration) only since last charge ( 5pm yesterday). How come its power hungry? :-( Oh my. Im trying to change original ROM just for me to find a good ROM with GooD Battery LIfe..hope it happened.

In addition to the SMS problem, Phonepad that comes with the ROM doesnt seem to work and hangs up the phone. Not a big issue as I was able to fix it by re-installing phonepad from a cab that I had.

I just reflashed my ROM to beta version (from final ver). Wifi is working fine ( I never install spb mobile shell / Phone suite....after trial of installing spb mobile shell my WIFI connection loss,uninstalled- WIFI working) SMS ..NO ISSUE ..everything is good. I will just monitor the battery life..

*Take Note* My mobile is ATOM PURE limited edition . Accdg to Jiggs maybe there is a little different in the tech specs to ATOM. we need to know that to solve issues, but me and jiggs cannot find detailed tech specs of ATOM pure.

Reinstalled the ROM. The sms didn't work. it got stuck in the outbox. Almost immediately after I finished reinstalling the beta, the sms was sent because there was a notification and my wife replied my sms after that!!!!
Should i flash it a couple more times before giving up? will it effect the chip?

Reinstalled the ROM. The sms didn't work. it got stuck in the outbox. Almost immediately after I finished reinstalling the beta, the sms was sent because there was a notification and my wife replied my sms after that!!!!
Should i flash it a couple more times before giving up? will it effect the chip?

Have you tried reinstalling all the applications instead of restoring from previous installation? I had many issues when I restored and I had to hard reset. After hard reset, I did not restore, but reinstalled everything from the scratch. I do not have SMS GPRS problems. But the internet sharing and system info do not work.

I should mention that I cannot sync with Vista. This was possible with 3.3.2

I had HTC tab, SPBDiary, Spb Time, Highcalc, inesoft addressbook, Listpro, Chinese UI cap & registry tweaks. After I had problem with phone hanging, I hard reset and reinstalled HTC tab, SpbDiary, Hicalc, Listpro... No problem for now...

For version AKU 3, i believe there is a sms program. For those having the SMS problem, kindly revert back to AKU 3.3.3 and let await for WM6 at the later part when it is successfully convert to English.

Those 2 program are not included inside the AKU 3.3.3, as Internet Sharing is not working. Only AKU 3.3.2c is working with internet sharing :P

my system info is fine for me. Internet sharing & SMS are my problem. but as of now i returned and reflashed my ROM to 3.3.3 Beta. Stable and fast.

There will be screen that say, do you wan to reset your system, for the mortscript. Leave the screen there, go and configure Auto Configuration for the phone first.. Given this a tried.. after that reset the phone. If you have configure after the reset, the chances is that it might not work.. Let tried :P

My SMS used to work before a hard reset. After a hard reset, the SMS won't work even I'd hard reset without installing anything. Just think to re-flash again, but I'd the same problem after re-flashing without installing any software on it.

I always do auto configuration first before installing any application (For first time after flashing).. So SMS issue is there for AKU 3.3.3

For those who wished to use the WM5 AKU 3.3 Final but because of unable to send sms. Here is fix, I port this AKU 3.3 to a working AKU 3.3.3. This AKU 3.3.3 have Internet Sharing and USB modem feature. Bear in mind that the Internet Sharing just have a small issue but can be resolve with just a click. :P

I've stopped installing AKU3.3.3 Final version because the SMS didn't work. Is it worth the updated AKU3.3.3F? Or should I wait for jiggs WM6? I know that 3.3.3 is fast and looks cool.

I agree with Jiggs. Before i used to cooked ROm but for XDA 1 way back 2004 ( see my joining date in this forum 2004) but i stop it coz of my busy work here in UAE (far away from my country). Learning to cook ROM is like studying a 6months course. so if u dont have time, just wait for others to cook for you ;-) , then the best ROM will rise among all ROM like WM5 AKU 3.3.3 for Atom..THANKS A LOT JIGGS for your Hard Work..please include a donation link where we can use our credit card..thanks. Thanks to Jiggs for the great ROM.

I have flashed the ROM for a few days back, and it just work as a charm. However I have encoutered some problems that don't know how to solve.

1. Can't link to the font which resides in/_QHiddenPartition/
Since I am multilanguage user including far east language, my font is 10MB and want to put it into /_QHiddenPartition/ to increase my storage area. I did the same with O2 original ROM and it works perfect, but with this ROM I can't link to the font which reside in /_QHiddenPartion/, but I can link to the fonts which resides in Windows folder.

2. It seems that after replacing the NLS file with the multilanguage one, the region can't be changed to another region such as Japanese or otherwise it will not capture the phone signal. It will appear an exclamation mark beside the anttena icon.

3. The OS won't find the SIM card after installing new program. It says please insert SIM card while my SIM card resides in the SIM card slot. But if I remove the battery and reset, the OS will find it again.

I don't know if these problem are related to NLS replacement or not, but I really need multilanguage support. So please help.

i am waiting for WM6 already :P no more AKU 3.3. Once you get tempt to cook the rom, you will start to modify to make the best. Than you will understand what is time consumering and the phone had to be flash again and again and again.
