try www.grandcentral.com, you pick a US area code, put a number to forward to (your mobile) and it acts as an answering machine and call screener. Works well with numeric keypad phones, a bit tricy with the hermes because you have to launch your dial pad so you can press 1 to take the call but a cool service otherwise, free so far.:)

Do a search for Pocket ETalk make sure you get the pocket version not desktop Windows version. It's free as well for non commercial use. A lot of of options bit of a learning curve but it's voip as well as a regular call center. Try GrandCentral.com not many know of this service but it's way tighter than one you will ever Pay for make sure to check it out enjoy.

Hey, i thought it is impossible to make an answering machine software. I heard that windows mobile doesn't allow the access to the speakers or the output by software.
Am i wrong?

I have seen this type of software for Symbian S60 and maybe even palm os phones, but not on WinMob yet. Seems like the title of this thread has earned you a bit of a beating......;) But this has raised my interest in finding this type of software again.
