There is a post by the site administrator at mypdacafe.com that the WM6 upgrade for Dopod U1000 will be released on July 11.

Maybe wu or anyone can confirm this?

I have the wm6 on my phone right now but I want to see how the official one is as far as stability and performance. I have some radio issues I got better signal with wm5 then this one for some reason.

in the site it gives you an option to download but u need a username and pass which i dont have being a advantage x7500 owner.

I logged into the download site and nothing was there. Maybe we can't be totally punctual about the date.

I just visited the HTC website for download WM6 for traditional Chinese, I noticed a wording posted at the download site which says: "WM6 for U1000 will be available as of July 27, 2007". So, we have to be patient.

If they think I'm ever going to refer them users..forget about it...the reason im pissed is ...with the fact that I cant use WM5 to its full extent knowing that WM6 is around the corner so doesnt feel right having to keep data which I will soon lose or have to wipe out for WM6..

They shouldnt announce and delay.
They should announce and hold date...or just dont announce till ready for a real date.

They're following the Microsoft Routine (Heard about Vista SP1 folly?)

I think we can forget about WM6 for Dopod and grab a release for some other brand of Athena....thats the best option as of now..I'm in India and tomorrow is the harry potter release so will be busy getting my books...hopefully forget about Dopod for a week or two.

but considering that most of our pdas are manufactured by htc... and that dopod was bought out by htc... good luck with that...

secondly they never promised you an update... their are already those of us using wm6 on our athenas and its working quite well...

and as far as i can tell... no other companies that have the athena have released wm6 let alone announced it yet...
