751. I also have a HTC Touch (ELF0100). I actually didn't like the phone as much as my HTC PM10B (Orange MVP 500 I think it was called). I have Microsoft's Voice Command which works great on the MVP 500, but hardly works at all on the ELF. After a few months of using the ELF, I switched back to the ELF. I'm actually looking for an english ROM for the ELF now and I don't care if I brick it in the process because I still use my MVP 500.

I do live sound mixing at concerts and corporate events. The reason I bought the Touch was for the touch screen, wifi and remote desktop. I can connect to my digital sound board software on my laptop and be on the stage doing sound check controlling microphone on/off and all associated settings without running back and forth to my console position. A tablet would also have worked but now that I have the Touch I no longer carry an mp3 player or digital camera either so I travel lighter these days. As well as being a phone, and a mobile office, with video games too, it is just all around incredible.
I've learned all about tweaking it here at xda. Thanks everyone!

I love it except I thought it would be the same as my brother's Touch in Europe. His has Wifi...the one I bought here in the states doesn't. Complete bummer when I realized it!

I still love it though. TouchFlo with Win 6.1 Mobile and the 8GB microSD card let me do everything I need. I installed the new Opera browser for mobile and prefer it way over I.E. (I use Firefox at work & home...gotta have those mouse gestures.)

I'm still a little boggled by how much computing has advanced in 10 years...My Touch is better than the Win98 machine I had 10 years ago.

I used PalmOS and SonyEricson phones for a decade. Reliable, open platform, millions of 3rd part software.
Winmobile is not reliable enough for me. Sim Card read errors. Suddently Contacts can not be started. GPRS & Bluetooth Errors.

I use it with CommonTime to connect to Notes/domino 6.
Now it does not sync files.

the best thing about WinMobile is this forum. Thanx a lot for all the help - regards to the kitchens.

Anyway as soon as a know a better solution to keep in sync with domino/notes I swop the WindowsMobile platform.

I have had mine for about a week. I like it a lot but it does have pretty cheap build quality. I have the little rainbow lines in the screen (where the two screen layers touch and created that effect under bright light) so already have to replace the screen. Known issue.

Also after just one week a lot of the "soft touch" coating on the case is already wearing off. Like around the stylus etc. I like it a lot because I love Windows Mobile but it seems like this phone is very cheaply built. The cheap plastic door over the Simcard slots feels like something you would get on a kids toy.

I also have a BlackBerry Bold from work, I don’t like Blackberry but that thing is built like a tank! Metal frame and slot covers, much higher quality plastics, etc. The difference in build quality between the Bold and the Touch is like a Ferrari and a Kia.

Oh well I like the Touch a lot but it would be nicer if they would have used better quality materials.

I've had this Touch (normal Elf) for about 8 months now... I did a heck of a lot of reading on this forum before I started doing anything fancy to it (other than Today screen plugins and apps), but just last week I upgraded from WM6.1 to 6.5; this little beauty never ceases to amaze me.. It's running better than I expected it to.

I do wish I had the Elfin instead, but I accidentally bought the wrong one... >.< Still, even having said that, I do want to get an O2 XDA Orbit 2, but I'll never give up my Touch. :D

Used to have a Hermes and had a lot of fun with it before but decided to sell it when it just became too bulky for me. Switched to Nokia N73 and N82 (symbian phones are fun too) but my N73 started to have faulty port connectors decided to sell it than have it fixed. Now when I saw this HTC ELF in wasabi green on ebay I just couldn't resist and made a bid on it and luckily I won! I'm pretty sure I'll be having good fun with this phone as well.
