Today I've got a HTC Wizard from a friend which tried to install Windows Mobile 6. I don't know exactly what he has done, but what I do know is that the phone freeze at the bootscreen.

I'm still able to enter the bootloader. When the bootloader is active and the usb-cable is connected to the computer, activesync doens't recognise the phone. So I'm not able to flash the phone by using the bootloader and my computer.

I've searched for a solution to recover the Wizard and found this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276963) MiniSD flash method.

I did everything what's in the tutorial but when I type r2sd all I get this:

r2sd all
***** user area size = 0x1E3E0000 Bytes

R2SDBackup() - Download type = 5
usTotalBlock = 1 sizeof(SDCARD_SIGNATRUE_TABLE)=512

You didn't get the proper security level to download a specific image

Cmd>

During startup the Wizard give this information:

IPL 1.06
SPL 1.06
GSM 01.12.10
OS 1.0.13.21

Who can help me out ?

activesync doesnt need to recognize the device to flash a rom. As long as it says usb in the lower corner you're all set.

is it from tmobile or cingular? whichever it is, flash the latest carrier rom

I waited for about 10 minutes at the bootscreen and guess what ? The Phone booted very slowly. After that the phone connected to activesync and I flashed the latest carrier rom. Now everything is working again :)
