I'm looking for something more robust, and faster. I timed it at nearly 110 seconds to 'open' the windows directory (TMo MDA running SNE2 WM6). I'm hoping there's something out there that is faster and more feature rich. What do you all use?

There's something wrong with your installation, 110 seconds is too long, I think you should perform a hardreset.
File Explorer is not THAT bad...

Definitely something wrong there - I have both an MDA and a cingular 8125 right in front of me, running XM6 and fully loaded with tons of programs and stuff(barely any free space left), and the Windows folder took 7-8 seconds to open fully on both devices.

Like new2city suggested, try a hard reset.

Total Commander is an excellent alternative to the standard file explorer

Thanks. Doh, I had Total Commander from the SNE2 Rom and didn't realize it. It works great, much faster. If I do a hard reset do I loose all of my settings (ie MMS/GPRS/WiFi etc)? I assume so. But, I think a hard reset will not remove the custom ROM? Thanks again.
