Hey everyone,

I've got the HTC-S620. Unlocked from IMEI Check.co.uk so it is CID and SIM unlocked and i still cannot upgrade to the TMO WM6 rom.

The only roms I can use are the original HTC Excalibur WM5 rom or the TMO Wm5 Dash rom and i can go between the two. I cannot use any other rom while in either of the ones i mentioned which work.

Every single time i go to do a rom update it gives me the same error.

Error [244]: Invalid Model ID

it will not let me...the only roms it lets me update with are either the HTC 620 rom or the TMO WM5 rom. nothing else works, not the bootloader nor the TMO wm6

Hi

I had the same problem last night but found that following this info got it working for me.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1282882&postcount=2

Nothing else would get it working as you always get the vendor id error.

I recently did this method on a canadian Rodgers S620:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=312963

And this method on a European HTC S620:

However I don't know if each method works on the other device. The first one is easier, but be sure to flash the bootloader like it says and you should see a black backround with red text when you boot. Once you see that you know its ready to take the WM6 rom.

funny how in post #2 "indiekiduk" pointed you to the same info ..

yet here you claimed "not work" ... and further down ( post #8 ) ... it ended up working ...

my thought ?? 90% of the time it is USER ERROR ( not reading properly !! ) :p
