WiKi is like an online encyclopedia that is written, updated and maintained by its readers. So some would question the authenticity and credibility about most versions of it cough:wikipedia.com:cough - but the wiki link on this site opens up a simplified version of the same information you could find in the hoards of post on this board. The link isn't for the wikipedia, rather the full explaination of the word 'wiki' on wikipedia (e.g. like looking at the dictionary, the meaning of 'book').

Anyway, the 'wiki' referred here is somewhat like the wikipedia of xda-dev

Wiki, not just short for Wikipedia but a term used to describe multiple editing of web sites or something along those lines.

In short perhaps I just have just googled it myself (red face)
