how to delete telephone numbers perm!

hi all,

i have an mda compact 3, which is being a pest!

i have duplicates of many numbers and email addresses which i dont need, i have deleted them several times (takes ages as there is a lot of duplicates) but when i have to soft reset the phone the numbers i deleted all return!

how can i stop this from happening?

I found that having numbers stored on my SIM card made duplicates for me. I ended up taking a chance and deleting them from the SIM and now I just have one set of my contacts. Not sure if you are experiencing the same thing...
