Edit: Admins, please remove my Post, I realize it is a bit too Noobish.

Hello, I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to Smartphones.
But have been hacking a bit before, in pother devices.

I bought the English version of the HTC P3600 3 days ago, without a subscription, so it is not Sim locked, as far as I know.
It shows the HTC logo when starting.
The device came with GPS function standard, and TomTom on a CD in the box.
This is what I get from Device Info.
Model No: TRIN100
Rom Version: 1.23.405.2
Rom date: 03/11/07
Radio version: 1.38.00.11
Protocol version: 21.71.7020.12W
ExtRom version: 1.23.405.103

I previously had an iPaq h5555, with 128mb of shared memory, that is that Storage and Program memory where dynamically adjusted depending on usage.
However the Trinity has a fixed 60mb of Storage.

So I quickly ran out of space just by installing my most common applications that I use.
I then found this Forum, and have been reading a bit about all the custom Rom that people make.

And it made me wonder, there are many of the built in applications that I don't want, or would like to replace with more powerful versions.
Like for example replace the File Explorer with Resco File Explorer, etc.
Or have the GPS software built in, etc.

So basically I would like to create a Rom that has all or some of the standard applications that I use, thus leaving more user space available for other applications or storage.
I'm also not sure if the Built in Image is actually using all of the available space, or if I could add some applications there.

So does anyone know if it is possible, and if so, did anyone do it, and how did you do it, or perhaps you could point me in the right direction?

Of course, If I did create one, I would release it to the public, well without my registration codes for the applications. :-)

Regards.
Brian Levinsen.
