I've scoured this forum and google and so far I've not been able to find the original link strings in the \Windows files
Short_AP1.lnk
Short_AP2.lnk
Short_AP3.lnk
Short_AP4.lnk
from a US T-Mobile SDA or SP5m. I've loaded this iPhone ROM and put enough customization into it that I don't want to burn back to stock ROM just to grab those files now.
What I'm really looking for is the "extra" command at the end of the wmplayer.exe string that makes the AP2 link go "back", the AP3 link "play/pause" and the AP4 link go "forward". Thanks in advance!

Thanks but that's apparently not complete. When I use those shortcuts all they do is launch mplayer.exe not go back/forward or play/pause. Any other ideas?

I am not sure what you mgith be doing wrong, but I am the one who uploaded those files and I am pretty sure I just copied it straight from my QTEK 8300.

Im having the same problem after upgrade to WM6 on my SDA and installing the sp5m button fix the play/prev/skip stopped working. It only opens the application and I've been looking for the subcommand to add the the short_AP.inks

Ok, I figured this one out. Launch Windows Media Player and choose options > buttons. Out there you will have to manually assign the "play/pause", "previous" and "next" buttons to the ones on the T-mobile SDA or Imate SP5m or QTEK 8300. Choose each of the actions and select menu > assign. I tested it out here and it works. Post back if you guys run into trouble doing this.

if been having the same problem after installing wm6 on my sda.
yes, the buttons now only launch wmp but it doesnt let you play, pause, fast foward, reverse, etc.
if you go into the buttons option it will let you configure reverse by holding down the reverse button, but when you try to hold down the fast forward button it counts it as a press.
how can we fix this?
anyone who still is using a normal ROM, and their wmp buttons fully work, could search the registry for "Short_AP". ive already tried this and got no results, probably cause the wm6 rom doesnt even have those registry values.

ive found it it the registry, but when i edit it it still doesnt work.
ok here's what happens.
when you go into windows media player you are able to configure all of the buttons as you please. but when you try to hold down for fast forward it doesnt work. it inputs it as a single press. i figured out how to edit it in
HKEY_Current_User>Software>Microsoft>MediaPlayer>Preferences>ButtonMap>Values>FastForward = B6 00 00 00 03 00 00 C0.
this will make it so it says you can hold fastforward and it will work. but when i try to hold it it still acts as if it can only register a single click. =/
