Just got VoIP working with WM6 with the help of :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=38080&d=1177835607
Then used the included SIP config tool to configure settings.
I can now use our Asterisk server either through WiFi or on 3G!

Now if only I could find the thread again regarding setting up the voip, I would be a happy boy.....;)

Yes, but I have one way audio after setting VoIP with this package. I use WM6 from Olio's >HTC__001 - version with spl,ipl and etc<.
Any suggestions?

I actually had to revert to the VoIP Activation cab from Helmis ROM for the Universal.
The selection status on the today page does not change (ie you need to go to the phone dialer to see if you are on sip or gsm) but the audio is both ways.
Try that.
It could also be a number of things (like ports used) you will need to go through the threads I think...

OK. I've found that it is not the case of one way audio. The audio is two ways but only with my BL headset. It is also a bit quiter then with GSM call.

In my case the first cab is working OK.

Here it works OK.
Generaly it works now, but only with few SIP servers like FWD server, or Polish T2 VoIP network. With other networks based on serwers with more advanced security systems (this is what I suspect at least) this VoIP client does not work.

Hrrr..
i tried to get voip running but without success. I installed WM6VoIP and VM VI Black VoIP & Config. If i start the SIPconfig, i get an error message:
The File SipConfig cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found.
Any idea what to do?
ROM 2.20.405.1
Ext rom 2.20.405.101

As I said I had to revert to the VoIP Activation cab from Helmis ROM for the Universal as the "Black" CAB did work properly. I have that error sometimes when the card is not being read properly.

Hmm.. so you use a diffrent cab file? Can you place it somewhere or tell me where you found it. Or am i the only one unable to install voip on my ameo?

As I say this is Helmis VoIP Activation cab from the Universal its works but:
- Volume is a bit low
- The indicator on the Today screen shows "Searching" even when SIP is already activated (ie when you are connected you go to phone and the operator is your SIP account but on the Today screen it says "Searching")
Here it is

Hello,
i have installed the German HTC WM6 Rom on my Ameo after unlocking CID and SIM, there was no problem WM6 works great. To install integrated VOIP i used "VM VI Black VOIP & Config.CAB".
Audio now is only in one way. My provider nikotel.com. It works with a Cisco phone witout any problems. I configured the same settings with the included SIP tool.
Can anyone help here ?

It might not be connected to VOIP software on Athena, but just as information and possibly warning:
After making the VOIP work with success on Ameo with PK 2.0 and 1.50 radio, it is impossible to go back to normal GSM calling. The phone keeps complaining about no SIM-card.
It may not be connected as I've already had problems with GSM before, but it happened exactly after a successful call with VOIP with "always" set on.

have you thought about the fact your sim card could be defective ??
try a cross test

Yes of course. I have three different SIM cards here and four phones, of course I did check and it works in other phones. Other SIM cards also don't register in Ameo. :/
Is it possible to somehow "wipe out" the settings the VOIP config saves into the phone? There's a slim chance this is actually a configuration issue, not hw issue, as the phone seems to be working.

I'm running same configuration as jpsikorski: Ameo +PK Dual 3.0/radio 1.5+ Vodafone
I can't get native Voip to work, so currently using Fring.
Tried shaun's 2.01 configurator, can't make native Voip work with voiptalk or fonosip.
I installed the Voip cab file.
At the moment I'm agnostic on Voip provider.
jpsikorski (or anybody else), what provider is known to work with native WM6 voip? With what settings?
Thanks
James
